I'm blown away by the number of people who tune in to watch the WNBA solely because of Caitlin Clark's incredible talent! She's a game-changer, and her presence on the court is a testament to her hard work and dedication. But, unfortunately, with great success comes great scrutiny. The 'CC hate' is real, folks! No matter what she does, some people will always find fault. But let's be real, she's a rookie sensation, breaking records and shattering expectations! It is a joy to watch CC play. There is an elegance about her game play. I remember feeling the same way watching Pete Maravich play. There is just something special about her that goes beyond her excellent skills. She reminds me of how basketball was played in the 70s and 80s. I realize there were no 3 pt shots then, but players still hit the basket from that far out for 2. Just a joy. I've never watched the WNBA this much. I'm definitely a CC fan.

I think people are starting to wake up to the fact that she really is on another level as an all around player. It isn't just deep 3s. Honestly I think her passing is even more impressive. But if the W wants to be take seriously they better start protecting her. Other players, and some fans will complain that she's getting special treatment, which no once should get. But let them complain. That's what haters do. And kudos to CC for persevering and rising above it. And btw, not because she's straight or white. Just because she's a great player.

Well since he's a rookie that will be a long time from now and hopefully not even true. It does appear that many of her fans don't actually watch the WNBA. It's hard for me to believe they can watch a person who shoots 31% from three-point land 37% from the field leads the league in turnovers and technical fouls. And honestly think she's one of the best players in the league. Especially when their players like Sabrina Lonescu, Aja' Wilson and many others that are clearly better players. This isn't a dingle on her most rookies struggle when they go to the next level. My favorite NBA player Kobe Bryant was super talented but wasn't a superstar his first couple years.

And it's ridiculous. It shows how women have the primordial need to tear down their fellow woman. Every visiting game with Caitlin, the team they are visiting breaks the ticket sales revenue record by insane margins - like 1,000%. The first game of the season against Connecticut, their revenue from ticket sales, parking, food, and merchandise exceeded their revenue last year for the entire year! One game brought in enough money to pay both team's players salaries for an entire year, plus both teams' coaching staff. Clark could allow WNBA salaries to triple. Bottom line, they should be kissing her feet. Contrast that when Michael Jordan entered the league. Exact same fan response. Michael entered the league with the first ever shoe deal. He had the Space Jams movie in the works. As a rookie he was on the U.S. Olympic team that won Gold. He brought in a fortune to the NBA - and the players LOVED him for it. Reese is about rebounds, and she had 13 of them. Clark is about a lot of things. While she is known for her scoring, especially logo 3s, she is equally a great passer/facilitator. Her shot was off but her passing and game management were on point. Maybe not the point totals advertised but a close game with tons of rebounding by Reese and great passing by Clark made the game worth watching.

Two things that aren’t being openly addressed: First, what you’re watching is essentially pick-up bball. The WNBA season started with hardly any pre-season or team development-the new players like Clark arrived 2 weeks before the opener; and since then the Fever has had 0 practice due to the schedule. Secondly, Clark is being targeted physically in most games, and refs are letting happen. In this game, she was twice knocked to the ground, flagrant fouls, with no ref intervention. Is it hazing for her outsized celebrity? A bit of racism? Angel Reese is continuing her college-bully tactics. Hope she rins into some WNBA welcome herself from some vets, too.

I have watched classy athletes my whole life and individually they remain on top . Many of them were on horrible teams at certain times in their careers , a losing record does not a player make . Some of the greatest athletes have retired without a championship ring or trophy , it does not take away from their class nor ability . But I am glad that you are so simple that you only see awards or records and not an individual's ability. I am sure your many participation awards fill your shelves .
