Great play analysis and Venom definitely knows how to dissect plays and the game!!! I'm with you on +/- not being a concrete stat. But when Smith has +/- numbers of -17, -9, -7, -9, -7 while the rest of the team is + or very low - numbers, it indicates a severe drop off in team performance when Smith is in the game. If the entire team has similar numbers, then they are playing as a team at a certain level. But when one player is that far outside the norm, that is a major impact on the team play. Smith is a problem. And Aliyah Boston is a good offensive player with the ball and I'm a fan. But Boston's "floor" game has been really bad the past 4-5 games. Bad screens, not hustling on defense, NEVER boxes out, watches the ball come off the rim often and she seems to just wander around the lane after the initial play and clogs up the middle and is just ineffective. Boston needs to get her act together if they are going to go anywhere in the playoffs. It has been really bad - watch an entire game and watch how she plays without the ball. It's not good.

She's doing crazy stupid +17 after playing only 17 minites in one game. Obviously Sides doesn't like the +/- stat either, because she's consistently had the highest, or one of the highest in every game she's played in.

I don't like crashing the boards for offensive rebounds, except for players like Lexie because she has the speed and HULLstle to get back on defense if the other team gets the rebound. Unlike other certain players, I won't name names but it rhymes with Ankle Grease, who take 2 business days to get back on defense.

They can beat the Suns. If they score 100 pts. Per game. No defense. Horrible coaching. Corrupt Refs. Missed lay ups.

They all need to learn defense and sides need to get right

It's getting really bad for the haters right now! They've thrown everything at Caitlin, and she still put up the best rookie season in WNBA history? It's crazy that they're still trying diminish her achievements? Still clutching at the thinnest of straws? They're seriously embarrassing themselve!

Shits still bad Lexxie is still not shooting (which is hugely suspect) and Sides tried to have them lose the game. Clark literally had to will them to win. Another thing is in the play at 7:00 look where the defenders hand is resting on Clark's back, they're hand checking her at will and it never gets called. In the NBA since they can't touch you the Point Guard will face the defender and therefore see the court better (under the newer rules) but in this league they don't follow the rules when it comes to Clark, they have hands and bodies on her all the time. She's basically playing 80's-90's basketball. Also Lexxie can't be an X factor if she shoots 3 times a game she needs to shoot 7-10 shots a game whether it's 2's or 3's but she needs to be involved.

If the team doesn’t play better defensively and slow down the turnovers we’re not going to be in the playoffs long.

I was listening to DaPope. His point was TEAM Defense is the responsibility of good coaching by the coach as opposed to good individual defense and hustle as exemplified by Lexi Hull. Team defense requires that players know where they should be and understand why they should be there.

records are like hiccups for cc each one is a new breath to get a new record

I always noticed that whenever CC misses a long 3 pointer, the Fever NEVER gets the offensive rebound even though the ball comes off the rim the same way and to the same place almost every time. DaPope pointed out that because of the relatively flat trajectory, the ball is not going to go straight up but come off flatter and towards the free throw line. The Fever are NEVER aware of this.

The splash sisters will be a force to be reckoned with in the playoffs. The aces and lynx will be their biggest hurdle. I think they can handle Connecticut. Can’t wait for the playoffs.

Iowa City is a small place, kinda sleepy, but the last two years of her home career, it really felt like you were doing something the whole world wanted to be part of when C22 and her crew had a home game. It was kinda magical.
