I like how everything that she said makes business sense instead of just virtue signaling and talking about equity. They need to have a pro-business mindset to grow the league and to make the players more money.

but its been the same people in charge for years and has stayed the same - it needs a new commissioner to start with - and if the players want more money you need to get the supporters to want to watch and NOT alienate them against you like they have in the past, and to think not what I can do for myself - but what can I do for my team and league, where the league will grow along with pay,

@@fullfradi95 The TV ratings for the entire season are far more important than a day or two of trending on social media. The NFL or NBA can handle a star being injured over a obvious intentional foul. The WNBA would be irrevocably damaged from such a scandalous situation, especially considering that they are renegotiating their TV rights deal at the end of the season.🤷🏾‍♂️

I also think that expansion of the league would help with growth of their product of basketball. If you spread out the wealth of great players, it would make the league more balance and give a chance for a few more good to excellent players to make it big. That too would provide more rivalries, excitement, gross revenue and in the end raise rookies on up more revenue sharing chances.

It’s hard to have a serious conversation when NBA mascots get paid 5 times more than Caitlin Clark and her colleagues. CC will start at 76K a year, topping out at 97K in year 4. While one NBA mascot makes 650K per year. Yes the mascot in the costume. Sad.

People talk about the incredible amount of endorsements that Caitlin Clark has. My question is: for the typical WNBA team carrying 12 players, how many of them have endorsements? If someone were to ask me what’s my biggest takeaway on women’s basketball since I jumped on the bandwagon a couple of months ago, I’d say it’s the appallingly low salaries in the WNBA. Let’s hope that Caitlin can help rectify that.
