Stuff happens. It should have been an ejection. But this should be internally addressed among the officials and the league. You have to make the calls as they happen, but that doesn’t mean you don’t prepare for them.

A couple things about all this… it’s a game,, and your right, her position of power in the league makes her a target.. and she doesn’t complain, she acknowledges it and and even defended those who have fouled her…. All of that is true and is natural, because of the nature of the sport. What else appears to be true is, there is a huge amount of denial about the fact that CC has singlehandedly made the environment much better for all of them… more money more perks and larger audiences, yet they still deny that and they are petty, racist and jealous of her and are behaving badly, it’s obvious to everyone else, but they have blinders on because of their own pride… They really ought to have more respect for her

The comment of "why didn't her teammates deffend her?" has no relevance to what is taking place. A third of the Fever team will be traded within 2 years and possibly a new coach brought in. Think back to Doug Collins and MJ. The WNBA has to play catch up with the greatest star they'll ever have.

This kind of makes me wonder about the remarks from a sports podcaster about this issue. He talked about why WNBA players are reluctant to defend their teammates. He went on to say that they are reluctant to defend teammates because they don’t want to get fined and due to the fact they make far less money than NBA players. Therefore, fines and suspensions are far more devastating to them. If they get involved, it will only be to break things up. That choke slam that Reese took should’ve definitely got a better response from her teammates due to the high risk of injury. CC is going to eventually find a way to navigate through all of the challenges in the W.🤔
