It doesn’t matter who you put on Clark. LSU put Van Lith on her and she got smoked. They put Poa on her and she looked like she was on ice skates trying to guard her. Then the couple times Johnson was on her she got burned. Coaches have been designing game plans to stop her and the only person that can stop her is herself and that’s a rare moment.
As an Iowa fan I wish people would respect that everyone on Iowa is a shooter. Sure Clark does most of it, but Gabbie Marshall and Kate Martin are no slouches when it comes to shooting 3s.
The LSU coach did #11 wrong leaving her 1 on 1 against Caitlyn. She was 5 inches shorter, slower and had been sick leading up to the game to the point she was taking IV fluids before the game.
@@thegoatudontknow She may have but to coach the game like LSU did was just foolish. Even more foolish when you see Clark cooking her and you change nothing. I stand by what I said the LSU coach threw the game with the game plan.
@@birch5757 nah, it’s not her fault that the players couldn’t score off the 25 rebounds they got lol Iowa didn’t need rebounds cus they were scoring and when they did get one they scored on them too.
She´s not nervous 🤣 The girl guardind Clark is Poa, she´s a flopper and last year got 2 fouls on Clark like that. She thought Caitlin was gonna extend the arm
Coaches dilemma. Give caitlyn her points and cover all the others or cover caitlyn and let the others beat you. Hannah, Kate Martin and Sid Affolter can score. Unless you put two players on Clark you don't stop her and if you do she passes to other very good shooters. Pick your poison. Mulkey was hopping for Clark to have an off night. Whoops. Mulkey knew Van Lith was very familiar with Clark's offense. So it was a reasonable choice. Don't forget that the hyper competitive players always step up when the motivation is higher. LSU and Connecticut are really on her mind.
UConn VS Iowa is going to be a GREAT game. But IMO, Iowa will take it- UConn is a great team, BUT- if Paige Bueckers isn't at the top of her game, UConn will have trouble. Iowa moves the ball so well and has, IMO, more weapons offensively. In the paint they'll have to deal with a couple of height mis-matches, but if Iowa has another game like the LSU game, they'll probably take it. That being said, if UConn prevails, well done to them for fighting through injuries and executing great coaching from Gino M.
