Lez be fair, Dinotaurasi is 42. Caitlin has a 20-year advantage over her in speed, agility, endurance, and stamina. Then... there's the obvious skill level involved, which is overwhelmingly in Caitlin's favor. DT needs to retire after this season (after the Fever wipe the floor with the Mercury in the playoffs) and go home to fondle that 6th gold medal she got as a 'participation' trophy that she didn't deserve. She scored 3 points in the last 4 Olympic games and sat the bench for the gold medal game against France. That's a rusty, spotted, moldy legacy that DT is leaving behind. I hope Caitlin surpasses every one of DT's records from 'back in the day' when the WNBA was in its infancy. BTW, DT was a rookie in 2004 when she was on her first Olympic team. Strange how she didn't want to accord the same courtesy to any Rookies in 2024. Greed, plain and simple. She wanted to leave a record of 'winning' 6 gold medals during her career that would be difficult, if not impossible, to match or surpass. Hopefully, someday, another WNBA player will get seven and break that record.
