What NIL has actually turned in to, is the rich who were already paying players under the table getting richer and the poor getting poorer. It hasn't happened in the womens game yet, but schools who don't have great NIL are just turning in to feeder schools for schools that do have ceos in collectives willing to drop bags for these players. It is basically pay for play, disguised as "name image and likeness" and it is out of control on the mens side.
