How is it that Clark has done nothing to bring heat on herself, or disrupt the league in any way, yet she's the one who's repeatedly attacked by the media, WNBA, and other players? Whilst Reece has gone out of her way to make everything about herself, shown nothing but contempt for other players, cried victim at every opportunity, and claimed to be solely responsible for the recent upturn in the leagues popularity? Yet all those gunning for Clark have done everything they can to boost her brand, and support her claims of victimisation! This is all the evidence needed to show what's going on has nothing to do with being a rookie? Unearned accolades? Or any of the other multitude of excuses? It's about race, ideology, jealousy, bitterness, and entitlement! They hate Clark because she's professional, skilled, extremely likable, marketable, humble, and a much beloved superstar! Everything they're not! And they can't stand it.

Have you considered this rivalry has been contrived to drive views? I mean, it's working. There was some rivalry in the NCAA... and someone saw that... and saw the attention it was grabbing... and decided... that is what is needed to breathe life back into the WNBA. Angel Reese almost gave it away when she said "I'll be the villain..." in an interview. I think its more stage play than real.

Remember she has a national championship against CC! She was dominant in college and she's dominating now! This is the same champion Angel Reese doing the same as she did in college. She is going to win a wnba championship before CC. Caitlin will always be in AR's shadow until she wins a championship! If she is as great as people think she is then she needs to win point blank. Angel who? And I don’t say that to be mean or disrespectful. Angel appears to be a great player but womens’ basketball is different from mens’ basketball. The mens’ game is more exciting with speed and spectacular dunks. People want to watch it more. Caitlin’s style of play with insane three pointers, crafty assists, technical skill, and ice cold nerves gets people to start watching the WNBA for the first time. I am one of those people. Nobody is coming to see Angel, but once we’re here we can appreciate her.

I feel it important for people to understand that the 15 point comeback was NOT a result of anything Angel Reese did. Rather, Indiana's coach abandoned the offense that had been kicking Chicago's ass for 3 quarters and took the ball out of Clark's hands. There have been wide and loud calls for the coach to be fired since. These calls are warranted, as only an Olympic class moron would make such a decision.

@@karenrhodes9973 I understand what you’re saying, but we’re comparing a power forward game to a point guards game. Point guards tend to play with more finesse and power forward to play with more strength and aggressiveness. It is the referees duty to police flagrant fouls that offset normal play. The same beat down that CC has taken, Reese gets just as much in the paint against centers and other power forwards. Being close lined to the ground and being hip checked are two different levels of fouls that the ref has to call to clean up the game. But Angel is not a dirty player that is intentional in trying to hurt anybody. CC teammate, and All-Star Boston is just as tough as Angel Reese, and is never called a thug or a dirty player as she never should be looked at that way.

Caitlin Clark leads the league in assists and 3-pt goals. Reese just stands under the basket and waits for the ball to gently fall off the rim into her waiting arms. To make matters worse, in the NBA you gotta bang to get a rebound. Not with Angel, it is like the rest of the league got a memo to clear out for Reese when she is within a few feet of the basket. To make matters further worse, Reese had 9 rebounds at the conclusion of the Seattle game and was gifted a rebound after the game to shamefully pad her double doubles. Now compare this to CC who was within one rebound of a triple double a few days ago when her coach took her out of the game with minutes to go without any regard to padding CC's stats. CC got this ROTY thing considering her assists are way more impressive than Reese's rebounds (or uncontested catching of the ball under the rim).

Everyone talking about rebounds seems to forget that Reese is a forward with about 6 inches on Clark (judging from photos). Clark is a point guard. Of course she should have fewer rebounds. I'm trying to understand how AR is owned by CC when they don't even go at each other like ya'll do for them. College champion Angel Reese: 293 Points 39 Assists 250 Rebounds 103 FGM @ 41.9% 33 Steals 9 Blocks 39 +/- 38 TOV 21 GP 659 Min Longest double double streak in WNBA history. Caitlin Clark: 384 Points 175 Assists 136 Rebounds 115 FGM @ 39.8% 35 Steals 20 Blocks 127 TOV -117 +/- 23 GP 798 Min Leading rookies in the most stat categories. Nothing about their stats show any significant lead. This is the closest ROTY race I've seen in a while, but all I keep hearing is CC's childish fanbase attempt to diminish AR's play with claims of "stat padding" like CC isn't doing the same with less efficiency, a lower plus/minis, and win share. Tell the whole story or shut up!

Caitlin Clark has such a nice jump shot, I played basketball for many years and not to boast but I could sink shot after shot and I will say her jump shot is exactly what you want to aim for, the way she sets her feet, how she bends her knees low and arches her back slightly, she tucks her elbows midway, she curls her wrist and sends it off with her finger tips, it’s a beautiful jump shot. I honestly don’t know if I could still shoot like I use to but Caitlin Clark has reignited that passion I once had. We had a basketball hoop in our beaten up driveway and from around 7-8 am every Saturday and Sunday I’d be out there until I couldn’t see anymore, only taking breaks for bathroom runs and sustenance. Wish I’d of stuck with it. But Clark reminds me of that love I once had for the game.

Let's not forget that Angel Reese would barely be known if it weren't for Caitlin Clark. Until this rivalry, I had never once heard of her. But I had heard of Caitlin Clark because she's elevating women's basketball almost single handedly

Caitlin Clark Until stumbling over a news item, I had less than no interest in women's basketball, at any level. . One Second of seeing CC-22 impersonating Stephen Curry hooked me! The second second and I realized Caitlin Clark wasn't copying anybody! . Because what I know is based on clips showing her shooting half-court 3-pointers and making magical passes, reminiscent of Magic Johnson to Kareem when everyone in the stadium and home in front of their television KNEW the Sky-Hook was coming and nobody could stop it, I see patterns where the playing style of CC-22 is changing the team. Boston figured out that all she has to do is get below the basket, stick out a mitt and the basketball would appear in it. . Anyway, I think she is playing perfectly, playing her game and letting the team adjust to things like having a pass actually come to them, and supporting each others play. I think I see a team in name becoming a team in practice.

You are absolutely crazy, In college Reese beat Clark 4-1 and in the pro's Clark has a 2-1 Lead. Only one has a championship. Overall Reese has a 5 - 3 lead. How has Clark owned her?

I think Angel Reese is a very good player, but she's a little boring to watch. Everything Angel does is very subtle. Not a lot of showmanship like Caitlin Clark. Angel Reese gets the job done though. Specially when you see her making baskets at close range. There's nothing exciting about those baskets that she makes.

This is the most one-sided rivalry ever. Clark literally seems to give ZERO F--Ks about it. This is all about Reese trying to appear relevant by constantly jumping in to act like a "rival" of Clark. And this is NOT "Reese and Clark driving a new era"... it's CLARK. SHE is the one people are showing up for. Reese just wants to pretend she's that exciting and just isn't. HER games aren't selling like Clark's are... and nothing could prepare the WNBA for the massive impact Clark would have almost immediately... and she's the single best thing to happen to women's basketball to date.

Don’t care how good Reese played or plays, the way she acted was disgraceful, I can understand emotions running high on the court but the way they treated Clark out of pure jealousy was equivalent to how children act, they brought dishonor on their names.

I don’t know why yo are reporting on this? WNBA is not a sport. I will say Clark took two iowa teams filled with scrubs all the way to the championship 2 straight years. She deserves a lot of credit for that. Since she left college I haven’t seen her play at all. Same with my girl Sabrina

Reese has inflated rebounds because she's constantly grabbing her own bricks... the footage is out there. She had one great game against the Fever so far, and now people are acting like she's all the sudden better than Clark. At the end of the day, it's clear CC has the best skill and aura and is eclipsing the rest of the WNBA talent easily.
