she can make 3 points, penetrate, take rebounds, make assists,, steal, block bigger players, and change her game for the needs of the team with no salfish. Her only presence in the court makes everything flow more easily for the rest of the team. Tell me who else can do what she is doing???? Nobody!!!
It's called envy. One of the two worst emotions that human beings experience. Plenty of envious people don't like her. But I get your point. I think someone who doesn't like her has tar running through their veins and heart.
This is not just about ROY anymore. CC is a great candidate now for MVP. She has now brought her team into playoff contention. She has made me a WNBA fan
My God, let's not even talk basketball. Let's talk how much 🤑🤑🤑🤑 is bringing in. And views and attendance, they should consider that in their voting for MVP.
I bet Fever will win close to 90% of their remaining games. Caitlyn not playing in Olympics was a blessing in disguise. She is rested, motivated and has a chip on her shoulder. And her teammates now know to play her ball. In the first and second quarter, Kelsey blew two easy lay-ups after Caitlyn passed to her and two other players got their shots at the rim blocked. If they hadn't missed those, Caitlyn could have had 13-14 assists.
Fever played great, but with no exaggeration, they missed at least three layups off her passes, two or three other would-be bunnies were blocked by Ezi, four other passes led to missed layups but drew two foul shots, plus she had about 6 "hockey assists" where she saw a two-pass open shot, generally leading to an assist by KB. If only half of all of those became assists, that would have given her a total of 17 assists. No exaggeration.
I hear the first half of the season was brutal, the toughest teams, back to back games. Easier teams this round, she will put up some serious numbers, I will stay glued to ESPN games.
@zikemdg the mercury and the storm are not walks in the park, those teams are ranked 6th and 4th I believe and they play the aces next so no not really an easier schedule. They are just getting firmiliar with eachother and I think the other players are buying in. They realize her style is the real deal and they are finally giving into it. I think putting hull in the starting lineup is good. She's is fast and full of energy. Which is what Clark's style needs. I hate to say it but a chenedy carter would actually be a very good piece to pick up for clark if they could. All in all it's good to see
You caught that??? Yup, this girl is the truth!! I'm old school, so, while I can't get Magic/Bird anymore, I have Clark who constantly reminds me of what COMPLETE looks like on the court!! #shekillinem #reesewho
Oh no, she’s not one of she is the most complete female basketball player of all time she’s a triple double threat every night I’ve never seen a woman basketball player even get a triple double before Clark
@@deeremeyer1749 "One of the most complete players." but then you're like "Totally complete" like you're some amazing woke girl. You do understand that clark leads in assists. You do know that you NEED to pass to get assists. You do know that point guards are there to pass the ball. you pass the ball to make plays. When you pass more than everyone else you will give everyone the opportunity to steal it. Also, if you are in your first season with any new team and new players. You will have high turn overs. The same thing happens in the NBA. This is basketball. Do you even know how basketball works? What do you even identify as like who am i even talking to? Lol
Watching that brought tears to my eyes. That young lady is a superb basketball player, but more over, she is a great person. The mile wide smile after a successful pass to her teammate tells everything you need to know about Caitlin. Pure un-adulterated Class!
I saw that joyful smile to her teammate and it brought me joy. While her stats are pretty good... she's happier, as am I, seeing the Fever play so well as a team, and getting the W.
Exactly. Being an Iowa girl I love seeing her shots; at the same time, I love more that she plays a team game. I don't have the right, but am still proud....
Transforming women's basketball one game at a time! Her Fever teammates beginning to realize/believe how good they are and how great their potential. 🔥Fever indeed!🔥
That’s what Clark needs is players that can hit in the paint like Boston and from 3 like Hull and Mitchell when the defense collapses on her. Just like at Iowa she had Marshall and decent center to go in the paint. If Clark has to do all the scoring the defense just collapse on her. The defense already does anyway. The Caitlin Clark effect.
@@marquettegloves9907 I think its because she retired early for social justice. Still any hardcore hoop fans havent forgot about her, she just doesnt get brought up in topics
All around great team game! Mitchell & Clark did their thing as usual....but way to go Lexie Hull!! Crazy watching the last place team become contenders in one season.
@@omni-man4624 having the best young PG paired with the best young Center & adding / having great role players. Even when generational talent enters the NBA the results aren't this quick.
If she keeps hitting her average, MVP race will be very close. What she has going for herself is the fact that she's ranked in top 20 in every statistic. Points, rebounds, assists, blocks, steals, efficiency.... All top 20. No other player in wnba history has been ranked in top 20 in everything.
Yeah, she's followed the Curry Model in the women's game. I'm slightly surprised more female players haven't done the same like the male players have. Maybe the other chicks aren't good enough or hungry enough.
Yeah it's one thing to try to emulate the curry model. It's another thing to have the ability to pull it off. Not only that, Clark combines it with genius IQ passing. She's generationally gifted. This is beyond hard work brother @@TheGreatness-gg1jx
I'm a huge CC fan and I couldn't disagree more with your second claim. She stays consistent with this and win a few championships, then she can be in the GOAT conversation.
Wish they had left her in the last 1:44 to get the 10th assist. Just shows they are playing basketball and not trying to pad records, like another player we all know.
After twenty seven games, I turned this game off in the second quarter when the Fever were throwing away the basketball, having the basketball stolen from then, and Boston being blocked for her shots...nothing went right, my heart couldn't take it, and I watched a movie. When just now I saw the final score, I couldn't believe it. Never again will I lose faith Fever and fans. This is my first year as a WNBA/Fever/Caitlin Clark fan so you gotta' give me one.
You miss watching history when you miss watching CC Setting records every game Reminds me of Pete Marovich Responsible for about 50 percent of her teams points between scoring and assists I think she set 3 more records in this game Most assists by a rookie for a season Most combined points accounted for in a two game span Most 15-5-5 games by WNBA player
Just imagine if she could rebound every one of her misses like that other Rookie of the Year candidate? Lmao how do you consider somebody's stats for rebounding when half of those rebounds are their own misses?
@@user-eh5cr4or6k That "other" rebounder gets graded on a HUGE curve. Clark just broke another record tonight so she's up to 15. The other one has 2 records. Clark has 507 points for the season. The other rebounder has 389. Clark has 78 3-poiintes, the other rebounder has 2 3-pointers.
@@mezzb Great? 13% from under the paint? Most missed layups in the league? Hasn't even broken 400 points yet and the season is half over? And I believe she's the most blocked player in the league too. Catching 40% of her own missed shots might impress people, but not me personally. The only accolade that she has (and correct me if I'm wrong here) is that she has 15 double doubles in a row while she was up against bottom of the barrel teams, right? In the 2nd half, their schedule is reversed now. Now they're going to play the best in the league. And everybody gets double doubles. Caitlin gets them practically every night. Tonight she could've had another one but chose to sit down for the last few members so that her bench could get time on the court. She did the same thing in the All Star game. She never chased that stat, it just comes to her anyway, she doesn't need it. She broke another record today. That's 15 records. Reese has 2 (with the All Star record being questionable since it's not in regular season play). Is telling the truth about their stats and records slandering the other? No. Is bringing up her lewd behavior in front of children slandering her? Not if it's true and it's especially pertinent if some folks are saying that God is blessing her while she's doing lewd things and hanging out with drug dealers and woman beaters. I'm just not comfortable with that being said with God's name in it. You know what? In the All Star game, she was amazing. I want to see more of that. That was the Angel Reese that everyone talked about that I hadn't seen shown up all season until that game.
Watching Caitlin play the game is just so much fun. She's a true player, and gets the entire team involved. Can all the talking heads please just end the ROTY debate already since it was never a debate to begin with? She is making other players around her better.
If this were hockey, CC would be Gretzky, the player with the best game vision ever, and a great field general, he literally augmented his teammates to demi-godlike levels.
She definitely makes her team better, but I perceive the whole league is playing better, to minimize CC making them look bad. It just made me think of track races where whole groups of people get their best times ever because there is a rabbit... CC is the rabbit, who wins....
Eventually, one of the big market teams are going to want CC (e.g., LA, NY) I hope she stays in Indiana. The relationship between her and the city/state/locale is unique. I' am in LA and I would rather watch the Fever than the Lakers. She took the off time to work on her game evident by the floater she hit and joy in her face. Next year, the left and right pull jumper off the dribble will be prominent which will make her harder to handle. Continued success CC.
Hey Diana, Clark is cooking "some grown women that have been playing professional basketball for a long time" Her rookie season stats are better than Taurasi's in every category.
The stats are great...but put up DT's career stats dating back to UCONN and it becomes obvious as to why DT is considered one of the 🐐. And, the stat that always tops the conversation is championships....
@@greencm7142 Hmmm Tarausi averaged She averaged 15.0 points, 4.3 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game. I think having 8 of 11 players that went to the WNBA might have helped with those championships. Never said she wasn't good just that she was telling Caitlin wouldn't be as good in the WNBA because they were grown women. Caitlin is out performing what Taurasi did as a rookie and nobody was picking her up at 94'.
As someone who never paid any attention to the WNBA in 37 years, do you know why I’m watching these highlights religiously? CAITLIN CLARK THAT’S WHY ⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️
The CC effect is great, she makes everyoe look good and all her team mates want to play better and do better. She is not just an amazing player she is redefining women basketball!!
I'm seeing really good teamwork out of The Fever here. Pass to 1 who passes to 2 who passes to 3 who scores! Everyone is making their teammates look good and perform well. Clark has infused The Fever with championship vibes. Go Fever!
I salute you CC the general. Hull is blowing up. Hull and Clark remind me of the chemistry Clark and Kate had playing together at Iowa. I am loving the new aspects to Clarks game. In College she used to drive down the middle for an easy floater shot but she never took them, instead passing the ball out. I have noticed that because she always has at least 2 or 3 people guarding her that when she gets away from them she gets easy floater looks in the paint. She is perfecting this move now. Also she has got tougher and is pushing back with this toughness. When Seattle went on a fast break Clark stood in the middle of the court knowing the player receiving the pass could not see where she was, the player turned to dribble and Clark took the entire impact and stole the ball. The opposition player did not know what hit her and was still in shock that Clark dribbled up and hit a 3. I watched some WNBA games from the previous season including the finals and championship games. I could see an amazing difference from the speed of the game last season to this season. CC has introduced a much faster paced running game especially after defensive rebounds and the game has had to evolve into this from other teams to keep up. Fast breaks being utilized with incredible passing. The peripheral vision of CC is why she has already broken the WNBA record for assists from a rookie.
O my god. I don't feel like I am watching a WNBA game its like I am watching what WNBA should have been this entire time. Look at the competition. The attitudes, the excitement, and the skill level. Very impressive and entertaining.
@@justindoud251 CC has transfored this team as the floor general elevating everyone's game and dishing insane dimes. However I share your frustration that she's not shooting like she did in college.
Mitchell’s been going off for a while now. Clark draws the defense in and finds Mitchell for open looks and drives. They are both elevating each other’s games.
@@2019_NBA_CHAMPS Thank god they won cause if they lost? Holyyy they wouldn’t have heard the end of it. Also Gabby Williams is more than welcome to the Fever team.
I don't think she should have been selected for the Olympic team. To many turnovers and that last game with France might have been lost. I think she is going on to prove me wrong soon as she is continuing to improve .
The ROY debate is a joke lmao. People are really watching this and think Reese has any chance at all to even be in the same conversation as Clark. ROY shouldnt even talked about when it comes to CC it should be MVP conversation
She has gotten better and comfortable. Her left hand is now stronger, and she does not pick it up when going thay way anymore. And getting an in-between game as well. Nice.
That was a nail-biter for three quarters, then Fever broke it open. Who'd have thought Lexi Hull would catch fire from the 3pt line? I'd have liked for CC to get one more assist, but oh well. Storm played really good defense in the first half and were denying her passes. But they were working so hard to deny Clark assists, Boston got a bunch of them instead.
Indiana Fever has become the world-wide 'must watch team' in women's basketball. The excitement of old and new fans is palpable and mega money earning for the WNBA as sponsors flock to spend new money. The brilliance of the flat out play is outstanding. Lets hope that the WNBA leadership can get their heads out of their collective A's.
All I can say is wow.. Clark is like a cheat code lol. This Fever team is going to be a nightmare for anyone when she can get everyone else involved, which seems to be quite often lately, and was massively on display this game.
Some of those angles are tough! Also, good idea to include the hockey assists. Even though they don't count in the box score, they show how her gravity opens up opportunities for the Fever. It was great to see the Fever capitalizing on those by sharing the ball. Would love to see more CC and AB pick and roll in the future.
I keep saying that this parallel that Clark's f(st)ans make with men's basketball is nonsense; only those who don't know much about basketball can do it. Furthermore, in this specific case, Clark (32.9%) is compared with Curry (42%). And Nash has 2.9 turnovers per game, Clark 5.6.
@@FabrizioPati-i6f brother it’s the style of play I’m referring too, she obviously needs to get her efficiency up and slowly is, far as turnovers it is what it is for this season
@@peytonlong5573 The style of play is also the result of the player's physical abilities so, even more so, the parallel men's/women's basketball makes no sense. Fish in women's basketball for more apt comparisons
