This is so beautiful. Besides your demonstrating being so clear and easy to follow along, I hadn't understood the reason as to why I liked following along your tutorials, it's because after you tell what your doing, you don't count out loud the stitches you doing. When other people do their tutorial, their counting out loud, cuts into the person following along concentration. Thank you for being such a great instructor! :)
Thank you for this tutorial. I finished my Cowl in Key Lime. I only got 30 rows not sure why, but it looks great, very easy and your explanation was fantastic. My intentions are to wear this one, but usually I end up giving what ever I crochet away to my beautiful daughter, my granddaughter or my beautiful nieces.
I made one of your ponchos and wanted to use this kind of tassel. when I saw how you made it. I was excited because that's how I made my angels and dolls for the tree when I was little. a forgotten technique. thank you so much.
This is such a fun, and beautiful pattern! I can listen to you teach all day long Brittany. You are an excellent, and soft spoken instructor in crochet, and knit. I have been learning from you for almost 3 years now. 😉 I am thinking I’m going to make this for my 9 year old, because the color yarn I’m using is her favorite, it’s also the Lion Brand Baby light sport 3. It’s called Mint Ice Cream. Of course it calls for a 5 hook, but I’m liking how the 4 is looking with this yarn. I will just keep making it bigger, and go to the Shawl Size with it, since my hook is a size smaller. Thank you so much Friend!
Really lovely tutorial. But would love to see your crochet tutorial using another color. Because mostly of your crochet project using shades of blue. Nothing wrong with that except this caron cake have so much lovely color option 😊😘
This is a beautiful pattern. Thank you for sharing. I might be incorrect, but while comparing the written pattern to the video, it seems as though they are not identical. In row three of the written version, it does not say to dc in the spaces before and after the puff stitch. I'm wondering if that is a mistake or if I'm reading it wrong. I'm wondering that, if you've made it both ways, which you prefer. It seems to me that it makes sense to add the dc in the spaces to keep the stitch count consistent. Thanks so much!
Thank you B.hooked, your instructions are very good; and your voice is very pleasant. This Cowl is very attractive too. I am wondering why when I receive your email notification for the patterns, the "left handed" video is at the top and the right handed video is at the bottom. I signed up on your channel for right handed crochet videos. I understand there are left handed crocheters, but I would say there is a ratio of 75% / 25% left hand, or maybe even less. I noticed other channels doing this same thing. I wonder if this is trickery so people will click on the left handed video so they get more views. Always All the best to you.
Hi, I am currently making this and love the puff accent ,I however was wondering is there a way to get the puff stitch added in the beginning and end of the cowl on the sides? Thank you:-)
The size in the tutorial uses only one cake. The written instructions specify the other sizes you can make with more yarn cakes. www.bhookedcrochet.com/2016/10/22/caron-cakes-cowl/
