Another thing you can do with templates is having different templates for different genres (Drum and Bass, Future Bass, Orchestral) or styles (Heavy, Ambient, Acoustic), or even something for sound design (I made a template for Drum Processing/Synthesis, with different mixer channels for the bass, transients, extra noise, etc). It all about preference. 👌
Hi! Just to add to this, the arrangement of the Browser Section still being seen in when the Console View is open and the Help Module being removed won't carry on in the template format; they will still show as default when you open a new project on the template. A fix for removing the help module and redocking the browser section is to save that as a workspace, either by saving it under the Advance Workspace or making a new workspace. Highly recommend arranging the Modules in the Control Bar first depending on your needs and saving it as a new workspace altogether. I hope this helps!
This happens when "Apply Workspace on Project Load" (last option in the workspace drop down) is enabled. Disable it, and it won't tamper with the layout on project load. I shall include this point in the video for WorkSpaces. Thanks.!
Wow! Now I know how to add the same FX preset in Prochannel!!! Thanks a lot!) By the way do you know if it is possible to assign keyswitches for different articulations like it is done in BRSO Articulate? Because I don't need to use it like regions, but for every particular note...
This happens because there is no template file in the location where cakewalk looks for them. Could be because of some mistake during installation. Solution: Open windows File Browser (My PC), search .cwt (file extension of project templates), When they show up, right click one of them and select "Open file Location". That is where the template files got installed in your system. You can either set that location as the "Templates" folder which I showed at 23:29 of the video. Or move those template files into the folder specified in the Cakewalk Preference (which I actually prefer).
Question: So as you've shown in video, the instrument tracks for all drums are in komplete kontrol (?), but in your later videos (Lo-fi 30 days), you're presumably the same project template. How did ADSR sample Manager appeared there, and how are you switching to that from komplete kontrol. I'm asking this, coz when I start a new project with this template, I'm kinda stuck. There's no ADSR in here and in lo-fi videos there is no part when you launch them. ( if i fuqed something im sorry im a total newbie)
For the 30 day thing, I needed something that could search for samples very quickly because of the time constraint. That is why I made a template with ADSR instead of Komplete Kontrol for that. ADSR is really good for finding suitable samples quickly. However, ADSR has caused issues in my older projects. One project wouldn't even open up because I had used ADSR in it. That is why I didn't use it in this "all-rounder" template. After making around 15-20 beats I customized the lofi template even more, to include even the MIDI notes for the first 4 or 8 snare hits.
Hello, At 21:58 you select All Inputs. I don't have All Inputs or TouchD appearing in that drop-down menu. Just Virtual Controller. My input remains Omni.
Those are the MIDI inputs thats available in your system. It depends on the system. If you have a MIDI controller connected to your system and is enabled in CbB preferences, that too will show up in that list. "All Inputs" is probably not there because there is only Virtual Controller.
The Stock templates come with the installation of Cakewalk. If you don't see that, its probably because the installation was not carried out right. To solve this first find the .cwt files from your system by going into the windows file explorer and typing ".cwt" in search on the upper right corner. Once the files are found you can move them to the template folder specified at 23:29 in the video. You can also change the folder location mentioned in the preferences to where the files were found.
