Thanks for the memories. Those came from VT-29 & VT-31 out of Corpus Christi NAS. I spent many, many happy hours in the S2 while stationed at VT-31 in 1971 & 72. I saw these years ago, shortly after being purchased by CFS, and they were still painted in Navy colors.
I used to play baseball on the taxiway where the tankers were first coming out during the offseason when I worked at Aerocrafter's next door to the AAB.
Ya the Bronco is one cool design, I used to see them at the former El-Toro Marine Airbase in Orange County and they would pull up at a 90 degree and six paratroops would fall out the back. Probably can RU-vid it :) Thanks so much for watching.
These S2T's are from WWII area NAVY submarine chaser. The original power plant were Pratt Whitney 9 cylinder. Had a sweet sound at full speed taxi. T93 shown within is Based at Chico Air Attack Base (CAAB).
Great question. the ceiling on a S-2 is 22,000 feet, aircraft should have cabin pressurization when they fly above 10,000 to 14,000 feet but I can only assume that they don't fly these that high anymore. Maybe someone else can give us a solid answer. Thank you again for watching 👍😎
Could I LINK (NOT DOWNLOAD OR REUPLOAD) your videos on my Twitter page at @JustFlyinging? They will post with the video title and your name in the header. JustFlyinging is a page that features aviation themed videos and photos giving full credit to the content provider. It's not a professional venture, just an old pilots hobby! Thanks!
La Armada de Venezuela adquirió una escuadriila de estos aviones A/S, y luego los abandonó.Son buenos antisubmarinos,.Otros paises aún los tienen volando.😮😮😮😢😢😢😢😢
Sorry Bob, I just came across your comment, I don't always get notified. I think mostly inside and just hanging out the bottom a little bit. Thank you for watching👍😎
