Now, here's the fun thing. My mom just had this hobby of planting different kind of plants because her co worker gave her plants and forced her to buy pots when they shop, my mom never interested in planting before that. At first she does not even like to buy those pot but she just bough it because her co worker told her so. The same co worker gave my mom different kind of plants and now she cant stop collecting plants from her friend's house whenever she visits them. The problem is, my mom just put them in a bucket with water till they die and so I have to plant them myself, it ends up being my new hobby, planting. Now I am obsess with planting adenium, making bonsai and all, but my mom loves caladium in particular. She loves to collect them with different patterns, she even bargain some to her friends that has caladium but with different patterns. She really does love them, and that is how I find your channel, I want my mom's caladium to be really healthy, propagate and to grow more leaves. You also uploads quality content vids. Love the asian humor in it as well. New subscriber here Love from Philippines 😁
What a heartwarming story! And seeing mom and daughter both enjoying plants is the best kind of bonding!🥰🤗. Thanks for appreciating my video. Bless you and your mom. Love from Malaysia!❤
I have stopped myself from asking neighbors. But your story was such a delight to listen to. Beautiful narration, made it so much real. Happy you, happy plant, happy neighbor, and happy me and many more people listening.
This is the very first video i have watched, and i think this is where my following of your videos had started. My warmest regards from the Philippines🌹💚💚💚
Hi mam we are from kerala, India and there are so many varieties of caladiums laying down in the ground that are not wanted to anyone..(especially this variety) Now only I'm realizing it's precious value..... Omg I'm very excited by watching this video....
Wow... just found your channel when I searched Caladiums. And wow. Binging now coz I just rescued 4 Caladium bulbs with leaves from a pot full of tiny insects. Which were on the stems. And I washed them plus the plastic pot that they were in. i separated the 2 bulbs from the other 2 and putting it indoors at the moment to keep two eyes for them. And your story just encouraged me to take care of them more and praying that it will survive.
I burst out laughing during that storytelling when you pulled out 'auntie' very brilliant got a some Caladiums and they have few leaves, thanks, will try this
Hi..from sri Lanka 🇱🇰 .. recently i also interested in caladium... i have some..too.. actually i wanted to say that im just like you.. little shy to asked someone about plants or anything.. but wherever i go im looking around carefully .. specially sides of road.. sometimes u can find beautiful plants in their.😊
A friend of mine asked me to visit him in his farm, so i went there (that was yesterday). While roaming around into his farm i noticed that there's a little tiny caladium in the middle of the forest grass (idk the exact name of the grass) then when i cut out the grass i saw this cute caladium like as yours. And i was very happy to see it in the farm, because i was looking that kind of plants before and luckily i found it not just one but a plenty caladiums. I searched everywhere that's why i got one bag of loaded caladium. I will make a vlog for that for you to see it if you want. But for now I am looking for the best pots that suits to my caladium. And now im happy, i got it for free and i got to know its name because of you. Thanks
Wow...such a happy story - thanks so much for sharing! This Florida Clown seems to be the happiest and most easy going caladium I know - enjoy yours. You should see leaves popping up from the bulb in a week or two! :)
Yes 🤣. Same thing in Philippines... we pulled them out and throw them away. We don’t need them coz for us they were just weeds that just grow everywhere... but now surprisingly,, caladium is now an income source of my family. They sold a lot.
First off, I subscribed. And the things I liked are, 1. Editing 2. Thumbnails 3. Exceptional humor from an Asian girl 😅 4. Story based content Loved it. I am from India BTW🙏☮️
Hello! Love your story 😍 BTW, my sister purchased several caladium varieties. However, we are having hard time keeping them alive...may i know how do you care for them..esp. watering sched and how much water do you give them? Thanks so much! More power to you!
Great rescue. FYI, When you de-eye too much the leaves will be smaller.. cos the energy of the bulb is focusing on making so much leaves, it’s focusing on making more rather than cultivating it to be bigger leaves. Just my experience with many varieties.
Halo Irene.. I really love the calladium.. but it"s very dificult for me to make them alive, because the weather in my house is to hot , the temperature until 33°C.. ooh sorry, I'm Richard, I live in Jakarta Indonesia.. I love your channel too, because it's very inspiring me to make a good garden.. 🙂
Hello Richard! Some caladiums like this one is quite hardy! We are about the same climate. I find they can take full sun pretty well. Or need at least half sun
What a beautiful video presentation! Robin Wong was saying wonderful things about you and he was right. I am so glad that I saw your video. It is time for me to subscribe :)
Thank you Anthony! This is the 2nd video I made for my channel, all with Robin's camera and lenses :) That chap is a real gem! You are a plant & garden lover too? I'm so excited with crossovers! :)
Wow...am so honoured to hear I'm your new favourite! Am feelin' the love- thank you.🥰 The florida clown sounds like a must have for you. Hehehe...in Florida, sounds like a plant you must have!
@@leafing.around i agree with you. Most people didnt appreciate it at all at one time during the 60's. What a shock when i start seeing people planted and loves them so much now.
I do have a story too on my florida clown caladium, we we're heading home from a good day beach then suddenly a rain pour down, so we need to stopby because we're only riding a motorbike and i saw something at the drainage which is also clean.. And woohlah! I have now a florida clown caladium 😊
Sweet story 😊I bought a few Caladium pots. Their new leaves get smaller and smaller (1/10 of the original size at the end). I was told to dig out bulbs when the season finishes (I don't know when though as new leaves come out continually) and let them sleep for a few months (dormant period). I tried one of the pot that I thought all died, kept some bulbs outside, then replanted them. Few weeks later, I got original size (bigger than my hand) leaves. I wonder if I should give them some level of fertilizer when I keep the bulbs in pots. Which is better: feed them or give them a break? 🧐
Hola Irene !!! Jajajajajajaja!!! 🇵🇷🤣🙏😂🇲🇾 ✂🔨⛏🔪⚒ 🍃🧹🛍🪴🛒💨🏃🏾♂️🏃♀️ Hi Irene !!! I really enjoyed your video, because in addition to the information and the witty thing, the process of getting the CALADIUM is very peculiar like a group of friends, that we love the plants (and we make kokedamas) and we call this practice of getting plants: Maintenance and Ornament Committee (MOC), where we share the plants that we have in our house and we would eliminate because we have many or that we find in wild areas that is allowed getting. I already shared this video and we named you, a Colleague of Our Committee in Malaysia. Hahahahahahaha!!! 🇵🇷🤣🙏😂🇲🇾
So funny....I feel so loved! I'm so so honoured to be in your committee! When I can fly again, I'd go Puerto Rico and join your meetings & events. Virtual hugs to the CMO committee!🤗

i rescue my sister's caladium too! she just gave up on gardening (also due to the gardening trend during covid which is no longer trending btw)..i try but i can't save all of it. i watch another influencer: ms.julia teaching abt caladium and so i change the medium to caladium mix. it's still a long way to go but i hope i did it right this time.
As a child I was told that the red and white spots on the leaves represented blood and water of Jesus Christ which fell on the leaves on the way to Calvery Some say it represents blood of Jesus and Our Lady's tears.
The one that got more light also has brigeter colours so that is a trick too if you want to intesifie the colours they need mor light but never direct sun 🌞
