Honestly Old Lord Claymore is so OP It can be used from pre-any boss all the way into the Mech Bosses, since the invicibility frames + homing attack is so busted lmao
Legit cheesed Duke Fishron with this thing the instant I entered Hardmode. I did something similar with the Glorious End on a Mage build. If your weapon gives you insane mobility just for holding it, it's broken.

(2.0.3.007) ---------- bruhhhhhhhhhhhhh they nerfed daybreak in the most recent patch ---------- bro and fractured ark now deals 25 less damage (not percentage, just base damage) ---------- and uhh: Rebalanced Murasama. Nerfed damage from 3001 to 2222, but buffed critical strike chance from 34% to 65%. It no longer has a 200% size modifier, but now grants 6 ID-static immunity frames instead of 21. Every third swing of the blade now deals 200% base damage. It is now unlocked after defeating Devourer of Gods instead of Yharon, and can no longer be unlocked early by using certain player names. ---------- Nerfed Red's Throw and Valkyrie Yoyo's damage from 70 to 48. ---------- Rebalanced Tenebreus Tides. Buffed damage from 80 to 120. Main projectile now deals 75% base damage instead of 65%, but now pierces 4 times instead of infinitely, and spawns 2 extra projectiles on hit instead of 3. Extra projectiles now deal 40% main projectile damage instead of 50% and pierce once instead of 3 times, but now have 2 extra updates. ----------- Nerfed Wind Blade, projectiles now grant -1 effective local immunity frames instead of 10. ---------- (name change that may make the video not make sense) ---------- Renamed Core of the Blood God to Chalice of the Blood God. ---------- Reworked Chalice (core) of the Blood God, it no longer halves contact damage on a 20 second cooldown or increases healing potion health boost. It now reduces all damage taken to at most 5 damage, but converts the rest of the damage taken into damage over time bleeding. This bleeding functions separately from standard life regeneration. Drinking a healing potion while bleeding will remove half of the remaining bleed damage. If the accessory is unequipped while bleeding, the remaining bleed damage is dealt instantly. Buffed max health boost from 15% to 25%. ---------- Reworked Roxcalibur, it no longer performs a normal broadsword swing while firing rock shards on left click, or performs a slam on right click. It now has a custom swing animation, and holding down left click charges up an overhead swing of the sword. Releasing left click performs a different attack based on the cursor's position. If the cursor is above the player, the sword is swung forward, releasing rock shards and dealing up to 250% base damage. If the cursor is below the player, the player slams downwards with the sword, bouncing off struck enemies and dealing up to 350% base damage. Buffed damage from 150 to 180 and use time from 64 to 40, but nerfed shot speed from 10 to 4. ------------------------------ (wierd mention but Biome Sight Potion can now detect Astral Infection tiles YESSSSSSSS) ----------------------------- (Decreased the player respawn timer while a boss is alive to 15 seconds, and the timer during an event to 6 seconds hell yeaaa)
It's crazy how Craftable Calamity Items makes some weapon options way more viable. If I had to farm biome mimics or infernum golem 22 times just to get a decent option I would prefer to uninstall lol

So I went for this bladecrest oath sword which is "Pre-Boss" and man I love it. Slaughtered King slime, Eye, Brain, and even did a surprise perforators boss and succeeded. It may be difficult to get but it makes early to mid/late easy mode a breeze.
biome blade is crazy, it carries throughout the ENTIRETY of the game since it has versions for basically every stage of just that, the hell form makes me literally invincible against bosses making every boss i fight a joke
And plus if you are fighting dog it can make the fight alot easier with spin form and sanguines fury as a passive (heals 7 hp per hit basically) so combine that with deaths ascension and tbb it can cheese the fight
For those looking for something to challenge themselves with on melee in calamity, you could try and beat the game with only melee weapons that have "Weak" or lower base knockback. Im doing the run right now, and just got past Plantera, and killed Astrum Aureus and EmpressofLight. So far the only really hard parts were the very early game and plantera, since i try to avoid using only yoyos for the run, since most of them have Weak knockback. If you want to see what weapons you can even use, you can go to the calamity and vanilla wikis and sort the melee weapons by knockback from smallest to big. Weak knockback is on weapons that have 4 or less knockback. For plantera i had to use the Chlorophyte Saber, which wa a weapon i had never even tried out after it came out in 1.2. So the run is a goid way to use weapons you might not usually use in runs.
There was an accessory combo I tried when I was playing mage. It involved Chalice of the blood god, Purity, The Sponge and Draedon’s Heart which kind of ensured maximum survivability. Key word being “kind of.”
and Excelsus definatly should have been in the pre-Yharon section, since it can out dps almost all the other choises that were shown if it's in a real fight
Guys. I have a problem. It has nothing to do with the video, but still. I installed Calamity, Infernum, forgo's and a small bunch of auxiliary mods. So here it is. For some reason I don't want NPCs to appear. From the word absolutely. I had a save with them and other buildings (before installing Fargo's and Infernum). And when I decided to get a star that increases difficulty through the new world, and directly activated it, then (apparently at that moment) all my NPCs disappeared. And they no longer want to settle (inscriptions appear that say the guide has arrived, but he is nowhere to be found. On the sheet with the NPC too). Is this some kind of joke from Fargo's itself? Or is this just a bug? UPD: After observing a bit, I can confirm. If I turn on Fargo's mode, then NPCs, enemy mobs and even friendly ones disappear. And calling bosses doesn't work. That is, absolutely all living creatures do not want to appear
yo why is no guide including the galaxia in pre yharon i oblitterated that shit in seconds in death mode with DoG gear but i struggled in the DoG in revengence mode, and its really easy to craft after doG (also after yharon ark of cosmos is overpowered)
if anybody is still stuck at yharon i reccomend the essence flayer made with cosmalite i was stuck at yharon and it made it really easy also never seen it in any guide
i dont know why but the biome blade. the broken one and the normal biome blade have been unbelievable op so far. ive gotton up to golem in a time span of like 5 hours just from this weapon it is so op its crazy
@mutu9983 it really depends what boss you are fighting for the wall of flesh use the desert attunement another really good one for when you get into hardmode is the hollow attunement
i recently discover that you can get titatnium / adamantium in hardmode pre boss : god fishing crate and biome crate have a chance to drop ore or bars without any need to defeat any boss
Asking for help Playing calamity mastermode get fixed boi seed, currently trying to beat lunatic cultist, (the 4 summoners didn't spawn so i had to get the eidelon tablet from the abyss) and he's so fast and deals high damage. And no info is given on the wiki. I dont know if he's enraged or what. Pls need advice
