At the heart of the Distortion, lurks an ancient force, whose strength eclipses even the mighty Dragons that once protected Terraria. Born in the void before life itself took root, a being able to command a power so immense that even the First God hesitates to confront it. Noxus, The Primordial One
"Noxus certainly doesn't rival me, though. But there is something above Noxus. When I was retconned from existence, the world was brought to think there was only one Noxus. But they are a species. And the creator of that species, Oblivion, is a fitting rival to my power."
"Impressive. Very impressive. Who am I? Despite the impressive tenacity you've demonstrated, this is information you need not know. Fine, you'll be the warm up I need for the rest of those fools. Come now, usurper. Let us have this dance with your life."
"The sight of an abyss is quite a laughing matter. The sight of what lies within that abyss, though, is something much greater. For the abyss does not merely stare back. It gazes beyond the reach of the one staring into it. After all, it is impossible for one singular being to outstare the sight of many. And the abyss is not a singular being, despite many beliefs. Neither is Noxus themself. He is merely a part of a species. Yet, despite this fact, there was one time when the sight of man outwitted the sight of the Abyss. It happens, mere days after the Rapture, when those remaining on what had become of Earth looked to the Abyss as a last resort. In the times when light abandoned them, they took their eyes to the void. And upon that day, the void averted its gaze."
Wouldn't quite work for WotG Noxus, but I can still kind of see it working elsewhere. Also, I am planning on making a rather large Infernum/Fargo's Souls/Stars Above crossover mod once I can finally understand C# source code, and would love your musical input when I get there. If you would have any interest in such a project, please let me know.
What I was going for. Similar to my Xeroc theme. WotG Noxus just has the best and most accurate sprite + easy animation. Although I've tried it with WotG for fun, and it does work surprisingly well, despite that not even being the goal. Fun House organ + heavy metal works pretty well.
Tbh this paints Noxus in a different light for me, allow me to elaborate. Some parts of this song sound sad kinda like a melancholy type thing, which in turn makes me think that Noxus was once a mortal slave or just peasent during the draconic age, working tirelessly for the dragons to appease them, he once had a kind heart and was a respectable man trying to survive, till darkness grew in his heart, and a hatred and disdain festered within him towards the dragons and the like, Xeroc was the only one to see this and acknowledge it, but the dragons would not listen, Xeroc had looked to Noxus as a friend in there mortal year's, with Xeroc even aiding him in his time of need, but once the war came....everything would change, Noxus would lose his family, and almost his life, and he would blame the dragons for abandoning there people and letting them be slain, and so the darkness within him took hold and drove him to desire a way to take revenge on them and the rest of multiverse, and once he had whitnessed Xeroc's assension into becoming the first and most powerful god, he knew what had to be done, and with this he would rise to the sanctum of the dragons, seek out the dragon of darkness, take hold and devour his aruic soul, and from then on he would dawn the title as the Entropic god of darkness: Noxus. This is honestly a really awsome way to look at him as a broken man who took hold of divine power above all gods except Xeroc. Noxus's asscension also makes me think that he was the one behind the corruption of other mortals to desire godhood and becoming unruly deities, and would most likely be the primary reason for Yharim's distain for the gods, aside from Xeroc but i digress, and the end of the song honestly makes it out like Noxus had a moment of realization and atonement for his actions with only a few moments left to live and a brief moment whitnessing his old friend Xeroc watching his fight against the Terrarian, Noxus realized everything in a split second, and with his death coming too soon, he accepted his fate knowing that it was the best course of action to ensure the multiverse never be destroyed by him, and thus he would dust away wishing to see the terrarian and even Xeroc soon.
"Oh, hey there, Eye of Noxus. Would you happen to know where your body went? It's a rather weird phenomenon for a Noxus Eye to become a separate being from its body, so I need to know where I can find your leftover carcass."
Indeed, your visuals quite improved in this one, and name of the song perfectly describes the boss. Because you'll stare at void for some time, after killing him. "I think not. Noxus may be powerful, and his eye may be a discernable centerpoint of his being, but he is not all-seeing. His creator, Oblivion, on the other hand..."
