Use duststorm in a bottle for Astrum Deus. You don't need to wait for stealth strikes, but one stealth strike followed by spamming, and you have a litttllllleee bit of dps. Absolutely deletes astral worm god in a couple of seconds. Perfectly balanced.
No matter how many guides I look through on the rogue class, I've never seen any of the authors recommend using nasty chollas in pre-hardmode. It is made only from cactus, which makes it practically free to make, and can cause a lot of damage when used with full stealth. It can even be used on some early hardmode bosses, especially worms. Beast of a weapon if you ask me
Very true. I’m doing an Expert Rogue playthrough and it shredded King Slime, Desert Scourge and EoC all with little to no effort. Doubt it’s very good in Death or Infernum but otherwise it’s super useful

I got stuck in D.O.G, honestly the stealth accessories are not very intuitive, I mean how do I know which weapons are better with throwing attacks and which ones with stealth attacks?
Yesss. Justice to the Exorcism. I slmewhat recently did a stealth strike one playthrough on Infernum mode and that bad boi carried. I tested pretty much every weapon cuz the calamity setup page doesnt seem to account for stealth strikes and the Exorcism had without a doubt the strongest stealth strike out of anything else at that point. I'd rrcommend stealth strikes only btw. Its a lot of fun and changes a little how you play rogue

I just melted infernum calamitas clone with exorcism stealth strikes lol. Had to finish the last 10% off with the spear of destiny though since she was moving around so much
right now the utensil poker is bugged i think so it doesn't use up any stealth strikes so you can deal up to 40k per sec with it right after moon lord now if you use this or not is up to you as it is bug abusing
I seriously urge anyone watching this to use stealth with the heavenfall stardisk. If you aim the disks away from any boss it can and has absolutely shredded almost anything pre moon lord, and even against moon lord itself I found to be the strongest weapon by FAR. This was on a master death FTW playthrough as well. Probably one of the most broken rogue weapons right now.
Im doing right now a rogue infernum playthrough and let me tell you, crystalline can EASILY carry you throughout pre hardmode, it’s stealth strike is busted. For some reason, the main dagger of the crystalline deals 400+ damage and with the rotten dog tooth inflicts crumbling, which then makes the subsequent daggers of the weapon deal from 17 damage, up to 200 damage each, which then with the filthy glove deals even more damage. It is great against fast moving enemies and enemies with many segments, since the fast enemies (if you throw the stealth strike properly) eat up all of the daggers when they dash, and bosses with segments are obvious so I see no point in explaining. In general, crystalline’s stealth strike is absolutely busted and deals massive damage, im only using it for re-killing the bosses to obtain more money and the weapons I want, but it will probably get patched soon, it’s just nuts how well the weapon scales through pre hardmode as you get better accessories. Edit: im on slime god and the weapon still does great damage against them, depleting the crimson slime’s health bar with a single hit dealing up to 12% of its hp.
What about "The Ripper" It really carried me on Infernum DoG and Yharon, it's stealth strike is op af (even though it has 10% drop chance and you still need to beat crazy fishron's grandpa that enters schizo mode at the start of the battle. At least old duke's theme is fire)
I really appreciate this video, im doing a rogue playthrough right now and im at duke fishron/plague bringer pre moonlord. Ive struggled to figure out if stealth or spam is best and at wich times to use them. I feel like rogue is the weakest class and is so conditional but ill stick it out. Will definitely be referring to this for the rest of my run. Ty dude
for stealth and spam depends highly on what weapon you are using at the time i recomend trying both to see what better also demonshade is trash for stealth on endgame use auric telsa instead if you focus on stealth as it actualy does like 3 times more damage due to having much more maxium stealth compared to demonshade and rogue is really strong trust me it only strugles on longer ranges and extremely fast bosses
@@turnadraco yeah man I did, hells sun made the fight really easy when targeting the hands and head and then I used lunar kunai when I targeted the heart. All stealth strikes btw
The grave grimreaver is OP for calamitas, for aquatic scourage frosty flare stealth strike melts it harder than a blazing star stealth strike directly into the mouth of the desert scourge
every calamity world has an evil biome of the opposite to the world. take the blocks and make an artifical biome Dryad in gravestone biome will sell opposite world seeds aswell Crused Dagger pretty good option aswell
You can find it in one of the ancient chests, on the second layer of The Abyss (right below the Suplhurous Sea). You'll need to beat Skeletron first though, because in order to open those chests, you'll need a shadow key.
It got reworked and its name got changed to “reality rupture” not too long ago, so you can only get it post providence. Just use the radiant star if you want a good weapon that doesn’t rely on stealth strikes.
Also sky stabber is kinds op. I beat aquatic scourge pre hardmode and astrum deus as my first hardmode boss with it. The stealth attack melts worm bosses
