Most definitely has been on fire. My last two trips have been the biggest I've caught out of there so far.

I am using a 12 foot H2O express surf rod from Academy. The reel is a Penn Battle II 8000 with 25 pound braided line. My other rod is a 12 foot Big Water Ugly Stik surf rod. The reel is a Penn Fierce 2 5000 with 25 pound braided line.
