After a PTSD-triggered military discharge, Todd Craig inherits a decrepit house on Calber Island, which has been resistant to change and suffers economically. When a storm destroys the bridge to the mainland, leaving Todd stranded with the untrusting locals, strange occurrences begin to unfold, revealing a Viking presence and the discovery of two girls hiding, unfamiliar with modern society. As tensions mount, Todd must now prepare for a Viking threat, navigate local hostility, and confront the possibility of losing their way of life-a suspenseful journey of blending historical elements with themes of change and unity.
