Deposit is negative cash flow, which you are investing. That means when ever you calculate the FV it is said to be -ve if outflow. In this case it is -1000

Thanks for this great video. The payment is = 1000. Lets say that the deposit was in these 5 years was not even 1000. for example one year deposited 1000 then the next one is 500. How you can write FV() in that case? thank you

Firstly thank you so much for this video. Secondly i have one question. If i don't deposit every year, how can i calculate future value? (Interest rate:13.5%; year:5, i deposit just first year 100 000$)… I calculate first way (Fv=Pv*(1+Rate)^year) is correct, but i can not calculate in excel with "fv" function.

Wow, Very easy to understand video on FV using excel. But i am getting some extraordinary figures for a simple amount . Suppose i invest ₹ 1858 per year for 5 years in a bank who gives 15.73% return , then how much i would make in 5 years?

first example's simple interest is 50 so it would be 50*6yrs=300 and finalvalue should be 1300 but how 1340.09??
