I AGREE cause he's coming into a tremendously better position and situation than Justin.....a more established OC ....a better offensive line......2 top flight receivers and a top rookie receiver .....a top 10 defense and a more established running back ...there should be NO DAMN EXCUSES other than building chemistry and continuity...I want to see this team taking off and beating GB not once but TWICE
Regardless of how Caleb plays individually, the Bears have to win 10 games and make the playoffs this season. That’s my metric for success in 2024. Long term, well, if you didn’t think he could win you a Super Bowl, you shouldn’t have drafted him. The Bears look like they could be an elite team for years to come with all of the pieces we have right now.
Fields only won 2 games his rookie year. Caleb has to go to the playoffs or compete for a super bowl his rookie year or he is a bust? Fields won 5 games his 3rd year and everybody wanted to crown him franchise QB of the Bears but Caleb Superbowl in the first year or he is a failure?
@@df2324The bar does not get lowered for Caleb. The team and situation he is inheriting is night and day when compared to Justin or any other rookie QB.
@@df2324I don't think anyone really believes he'll be a bust for failing to go to the big game his rookie season. Fields, I'm sorry to say is not nearly as good as Caleb will be this coming season. Too many flaws in Justin's game that Caleb doesn't have. The Bears should more than hold their own within the division and conference. They'll benefit from a weaker schedule plus they're gonna score like a video game. Gonna be fun to watch😂
"Bears have to win 10 games and make the playoffs this season." I'll be *thrilled* with a winning record, with CW throwing for over 3400 yards, 24+ passing TDs and 2:1 TD:turnover (or better) ratio. For a rookie that would be a solid start to his career and better than any Bears QB since Erik Kramer's 1995 season. I personally think even that would be lofty for a rookie but I can dream.
He's got an elite supporting cast minus the o line (which they could still be decent) so to be honest the expectation is a little high. I'd say he goes for 3800 yards, 32 tds, 10 ints and around 300 rush yards and 4 rush tds.
Look if caleb stays healthy all season its easy to expect at least 3700 yards passing. 65% completion percentage. 24 tds 7 ints. And probably 3 or 4 rushing tds.
Ceiling is definitely 4500 yards it’s 17 games so that rookie record is getting broken sooner than later and he literally has the best receiving corps in the nfl on paper.
DJ Moore: "“Anticipation is there,” Moore said. “You can tell that he’s expecting us to be open at a certain time. That’s gonna be one of the things that’s better." Yeah. That's one of the things that will hopefully be better vs Fields: Anticipation. I like Fields, but 'anticipation throws' is one of his weaknesses, and DJ called it out.

He needs to win 9-10 games, take this team to the playoffs and throw for a minimum of 3,700 yds, 25tds and 10 or less ints. The bar does not get lowered because he is a rookie. We were told that he is generational and he has been given all of the weapons to succeed.

While the table is set with a solid defense, a massively improved offense and mega punt, Caleb will still have rookie growing pains. I still think expectation are high, and I hope the growing pains are exactly that "GROWING". Sometimes you have to make a mistake to learn from, but if you do not learn then you are not growing
I can see allen and moore alone getting 2500 yards between the 2 of them. That leaves 1500 yards between odunze, kmet, Everett, swift, and depth players. I think 4k is a very managable task
Top 15 QB? I don’t know why people are setting such unbelievably high expectations for his rookie year. If Caleb throws more TD’s than picks and has 3500 yards I’ll be pleased. Look at all the greats and check out their rookie years, they certainly weren’t normally a top 15 QB.
His team is way too stacked to be given the same expectations as any other rookie qb. He may not play like a top 15 qb which is not what we should expect but he should definitely be expected to put up top 15 passing numbers.
Even if CW puts up those 16th ranked numbers in his rookie year I think he can do better than that. If he doesn't do better than that it's okay, but I believe he can do better than that with the team put around him.
Fuck Yes! More than 1 Super Bowl. With the premium position players the Bears now have, i would expect alot more than 1. If they don't, you have to seriously look at the coaching. Way too many blown games due to turning conservative in the 2nd half instead of going for the jugular. Keep the pedal to the metal until the game is out of reach. Would love to rub some teams noses in --it. Especially the Peckers and Lambs.
This is my prediction if Caleb Williams is Healthy* for the whole season (17 Games) Healthy… because I’m still worried about the O-Line 3500-3700 yards 35/16 TD/INT 400-500 Rushing Yards 5 Rushing TDS Finish Between 2nd-3rd in The NFC North with the 2nd-3rd Wild Card Berth Draft Grade for Bears is a Solid A Free Agency and UDFA is a B-(still need help on the O line) better to address this in Free Agency then in the draft IMO. (We need some decent O-Line Veterans)
If he plays 17 games he’s easily over 4000 yards with quite literally the best receiving corps in the nfl why is everyone giving him sub 4K. Just because it’s the bears doesn’t mean he can’t do it. The reason why it’s never been done is because the offense has never been built to half of what it is now.
@@Theonlyatoz I’m only being optimistically cautious about it all. I’ve been a Bears fan for as long as I can remember, and seen some great defensive teams, being held back by our offense and game management. I want Caleb to shatter the Bears record but I need to understand that I’ve been disappointed a few times too. If he gets the number I mentioned, that would be a successful season too. I’m very interested to see what he’s going to do and more importantly how many wins he’s going rack up for the team. Bear 🐻 Down 💪🏾🙏🏾👍🏾
for the first time in like...forever, the bears finally have in place a descent line, good offense, good defense and ready for a great QB. Right time - Justin was the wrong time.
@@Itsmewaltz I wouldn't go that far. There should be 2-3 qbs who throw for 4000 yards, including Rodgers if he stays healthy. With 3 solid WRs, Caleb will find them and rack up yards.
@@clubmogambo3214 He'll get that, but not next year. The first part of the season he'll have some rookie struggles, but by the end of the season he'll be solid.
No one is talking about what if he falls on his face then what? What if he is Bryce young…. No one is having that talk and if so and the bears are losing because of him the what if’s fields question are going to come
MORE SO FOR THE BEARS HEAD COACH i EXPECT 10 WINS WORSE CASE 9- WINS. IF NOT COACH IS FIRED FAN CY BEARD AND CLOTHES NOT WITH STANDING BUT I WOULD KEEP THINGS STABLE AND HIRE THE OFFENSE CORDINATOR AS THE COACH.
He needs to have the best rookie QB season ever...considering the situation he's walking into and all this hype...he's got a top 10 or better defense...on paper if not the best trio of receivers definitely top 3
So tired of hearing about "trade down for a haul" OK, so we fill a few more holes then what? We still have a QB (Fields) that can't consistently complete a pass over 8 or 9 yards and probably the best offensive weapons in the league! I'll take Caleb every day and twice on Sunday😂
I said yes yes can you bring me and Super Bowl? It’s been a long time, I hope you make it. I will be safe. Will he? I hope you be. I hope you come in strong. Don’t care with. Nobody think. I hope you make it. 😂❤
Of course OROY that’s the baseline With the hype alone. Williams needs to play like fields didn’t exist on the Bears. And if fields plays better at the Steelers then that is a complete loss.
i think it will be more passing with all the weapons they went out and got, i agree with you tho for the first 4 weeks. they wont let him throw like 40 passes a game at the start, gonna let the team play for him
Nope i am still trade down. He better be playoffs or it's a step back. I hope he proves me wrong but im not counting on it. On the field is what im looking for. Not all this wishful thinking.
People are saying that he has to make a Super Bowl his first year or he is a bust. Fields won 5 games last year and everybody was fighting to make him our franchise QB i don't understand.
