I'm a Bears fan that supports whoever is QB. I'm a big JF1 supporter, but in 5 games I've seen Caleb Williams do things I've yet to see Fields do in 4 seasons. Everyone talks about the personnel Fields had, which can be a fair argument, but even after getting DJ Moore, he still struggled getting past his 1st read before taking off. CW had been really good scanning the field and going to check downs. I say all that to say if anyone thinks Fields in his rookie year is better than CW is so far in his, is in denial, having a hard time getting over the Fields trade, or both
Excellent take. When the Bears lost to the Colts, I was still impressed by Caleb because he threw over 300 yards in his third game. Watching his mechanics, Caleb is way better than Justin Fields.

I do not like the debate. There are women better for you but does that mean you drop your current girl and test the so called better girl? I thank Justin for what he went though to keep the Bears watchable for 3 years. This is why I preferred us to show more commitment to keep him and stack more picks. I also wish Caleb success. Ryan Poles did what he felt was best for the team, but just do not expect me to honor any dialogue about "family", it was a business decision. Keep it as business, don't talk family, or commitment to me. This is a business and not personal. Go Justin and go Bears.

I've been a Bears fan since 1963 when I was 9 years old and incidentally that team was Papa Bear Halas last championship team! As for Caleb, I've seen enough! The comparison at this point just needs to stop Two different situations Justin was never supported by the bears the way Caleb is now and give Caleb time to grow the overhyping after beating the panthers needs to stop I’m happy for Justin that he’s getting the opportunity to prove himself in a situation that is far better than he was subjected to here in Chicago much success to both men.
I have a framed Justin Jersey (I wear now) and life size fathead. I highly resented Poles trading him, but I can see how Caleb is the better QB, Justin the better athlete. That play to DJ in the endzone showed the difference. It was his third read threw it quick and threw him open on a deep ball in his 5th game!

We expected him to be better. But an argument can still be made on whether it was a good move or not. So far it’s looking good. I still feel the Bears would have the same record with Fields, Daniels, or Bo Nix.

He just looked off the safety first. And I’ve watch every snap of Caleb college Career and The pro’s. He’s not a throw with anticipation QB. Those QB’s are extremely rare. I can only think of maybe 4 of the last 30 years. Montana, Warren moon, Tom Brady to name a few.

Where is he better than fields? Stats this year are damn near identical and comparing rookie seasons isn’t far for the simple fact who did fields have a coach and who was his the wr’s. If you know football so much you wouldn’t be saying Caleb is better after 4 to 5 games and having better personal. Fields hasn't thrown over 1000 yards yet this season. Only one game over 300 yards with Chicago. Caleb already has two of his first five games. Fields won't ever throw over 3k yards in a season because he's a runner he's a trackstarr
