Never heard this song, or this singer before, but it's beautiful. Dunno why he popped up on my RU-vid. I have no memory of Scotland, just stories told to me. I was there in 1929, that's 95 years ago and I'm only barely 60-years-old now (think about it !). In the words of John Denver's country song, one day I hope I'll "be coming home, to a place I've never been before". (* ...because, back when I was in Scotland, I was still an egg in my mummy's tummy !)
It’s already our anthem. We’re British when it suits England. Andy Murray was a Scottish tennis player until he was successful (British after that) why don’t we have a British football team obviously cos Scotland are Shite (shame for the tartan arm tbh) why I in school we weren’t taught Scottish history. There’s no rhyme like “william, William Henry, Stephen” etc etc The school holidays are slightly different n the cartoons n child’s tv doesn’t start till the English kids wrap up for holidays In most case England equals Britain. I’d rather break from the circus of Westminster n rejoin the EU. Scotland has been independent longer than it’s been part of the union & always had European allies especially France. Who actually benefited from Brexit we’ve only been in the union 300yrs. A LLLOOOOONNNNGGG history before that not enough Scots are educated in hee own history. All that been said it was just over half of the fuckin Scots that voted to remain., there’sqq a whole generation of new votes?!
