Hello John. Thanks for your comment That valve is a pressure reducer valve and automatic fill valve combo at the same time . It reduces the pressure from 40-50 from the municipal feed to 15 lbs design by factory ( adjustable pressure) It doesn’t make sense to install a pressure reducer valve before another one It would be redundant. If the house or building have high pressure from the municipal fed,.then at pressure reducer valve is installed bright after the meter before it distributes the water .
