Last time I was there I stayed at the Broncemar beach which is currently being refurbished but I would definitely be tempted to stay at the Arena Castillo as long as it was reasonably priced.
In these dark, cold, wet and boring times your video's of our favorite areas on Fuerte are a breath of fresh air and gives us all renewed hope for normality to resume. All power to your camera ladies looking forward to the next vlog.
Hi ladies, Watched one of your flogs answering questions about your lives. Well done to you. Nice to see you. I am an English guy who lives in Torrevieja España. I will probably watch some more of Your videos if I get some time as I found it interesante. Muchas Gracias DavidES
Hi you two.. A belated Happy Birthday to you Sarah..and a Happy Birthday to you to Amelia for later.. great blog as usual.. missed out on five trip's to Calleta last year, can't wait to get out there asap..keep up the good work.. Ian and Janet..xx
Hi,And thanks for another nice video It looks lovely there,we have had another full day of snow here, So fresh & cool agian,, Would love to be there though I'm ready to Go,,enjoy your time you're in a Good place right now,,
Thanks both yet another brilliant video, thank you for showing us around, we’re looking forward as soon as we can to get out there , see you on the next video .
How lovely to see you both enjoying the sunshine in Caleta, I'm so jealous! I 've just come inside after helping my 4 year old grandson make a snowman...... Oh for a sangria at Smiley's...I'll keep dreaming! Great vlog once again much appreciated. Susanxx
Excellent video again girls really lifts all our spirits. Was due to travel before Christmas but cancelled due to new restrictions but thankfully rescheduled for later this year. Looks really beautiful there Thanks again really appreciate what you are doing for all of us.
that aberdeen angus steak house was superb ,when we were there a young couple next to us did a runner without paying for there meal ,there must have been a dozen guys who came out the kitchen running around the streets searching for the pair of them .LOL
Aw lovely, could nearly feel that sunshine, beautiful! Thanks for another great video girls! Michael and I watch together but I just had to nip on and give you another like! Lol. Take care! 😊❤️
Thank you girls It was lovely to see the sun and ocean. We are fighting covid at the mo. So anything to cheer us up. It's a nightmare here . So much sadness. I do hope we get to see fuerteventura again . Stay safe and well girls 🥰
Great video ladies im hoping to travel out in October of this years fingers crossed in and around the golf course in villas great if you could do a vid of around there keep up the great reports
Only big Canarian Island we not been too (planned visit was last March 🙄), so enjoying the vlogs. The q&a was very informative and honest and look forward to the c-o-l one. Thanks.
Thanks for another great video, it’s just so sad to see Caleta so empty and deserted, we’re hopefully coming over on the 29th of September for 2 weeks and should be fully vaccinated by then, my hubby is gonna love that chocolate shop lol, thanks again ladies and keep safe.xx
Fat chance now of getting to the Canaries for the foreseeable but thanks for the updates, you lucky people! Not sure how many of these Spring and early Summer bookings will translate into visits but fingers crossed. Greatly enjoyed the Q&A video, by the way.
Yes, it will be interesting to find out. The islands will be desperate to get people back but it's not that simple if countries like UK insist on self isolation on the way back. Need those travel corridors back in time for summer and access to cheaper testing 🤞
We really enjoy watching your posts. After having 2 trips cancelled last year. We have re booked a couple of holidays this year on the island. Hope we make it this year. Thanks for keeping the dream alive
Got our holiday cancelled for feb rebooked for September fingers crossed absolutely love watching your videos keep doing them they are keeping me sane in this crazy time thankyou 😊
Thank you for sharing. This is one of the times of year we’d usually be out there. 😞 Missed last Jan as was Thomas Cook, was going to rebook for Easter time.... we all know what happened then. Feels an age since we were there last, and likely another 12 months until the next time. But your videos keep me going ❤️
Hi girls thanks again great little video to me going in what is a very cold snowy yorkshire at the moment. Your Q&A was great is this something that perhaps you would consider to do again? Enjoy that beautiful sun and try and Mexican wave a little across the seas to the uk please. Take care stay safe Kirsty 😃
Hope you're feeling better? We really enjoyed the Q&A, will definitely consider doing another one but probably need to leave it a few months to get some fresh questions in 😀
I think I stayed in the previous apartments, which were on the same site as the new Arena Castillo hotel. I think the apartments were called La Luna and I stayed there in 1996, which was my first trip to Fuerteventura.
Sunshine and sand for you, Snow and floods for me no wonder you left!!, Anyway thanks for the video and well done for the 11k views on the Q+A video all the best.
Great vlog as usual ladies, the wife & I have walked them same steps as you many many times, it never gets old. We booked again with jet2 for our usual fortnight in September & got almost 300 quid off 😳 Just hope it’s sorted by then cus I’m having serious withdrawal symptom. Stay safe girls & have a great weekend 😎👍🏻
Hi John, I’m the original Bolger, it’s an Irish surname incase you’re wondering. We didn’t want to do the double barrelled thing and Amelia decided to become a Bolger 😁
Hi again Girls, long time no see! Glad you're doing ok. Caleta's looking lovely, twice cancelled the Elba last year (gurrr) but l'm feeling optimistic as just today Cyprus announced if Brits have had both jabs they're welcome, with no strings attached. Hopefully the Canaries with follow suit. I'm hoping for a Christmas break & 🤞everything's back to normal by then. Take care x
Hey John! At some point I’m sure proof of vaccination will mean no test needed. Lots of rumours but nothing decided yet, either way I hope by the end of the year things will be much better!
Great insight into how Caleta is doing...Know Gorys very well, lots of locals go there too. Do you know what's happening with The Trafalgar? Hoping to visit later this year! 🤞
@@AmeliaBolger That is fantastic news! Thanks for getting back to me on that. I also loved El Capitan, when I last looked, it was opposite, on the end of the San Jorge/Antigua/Ereza hotels 😊
Thanks for another great vlog ladies... I would take anywhere if I could come stay in Caleta ...a new hotel or sun lounger on the beach I don't care as long as I'm there. Loved your wall around though and is The Trafalgar still.there as Gorys looked like it was on that strip? Had many a Sunday lunch in Trafalgar can't go without my.traditional.Sunday lunch lol. Oh and you.!missed out on 'the chocolate shop' do a lovely lemom.sponge cake in there and nice coffee there too. Loved your Q&A video very good of you to be so open with us all. Look forward to you cost of living vlog. Until then you ladies take care of each other 😎🌞😎
@@michaelandmandycross5574 oh no how long as it been closed we haven’t been over to the island for a couple of years due to my bad health. I used to enjoy a Sunday lunch there.
@@sneeves19 , only last few weeks, very quiet there before, as there were few English tourists. Bar Gory always is usually busy enough, Bar Studs also doing enough business to stay open, I would think.
@@michaelandmandycross5574 oh that’s so sad. Me and my husband have been going to Caleta at least once sometimes twice a year for over 12 years. We would call in at bar studs often for a drink. Glad they are managing to keep going. Such a hard climate for everyone in the hospitality business at the minute. Let’s hope things turn a corner soon.
Trafalgar reopened under new ownership quite quickly after closing last year. It's remained open even though it's quiet here. Same menu and prices by the looks of it 👍
Hi, a lovely start to the morning watching your latest vlog & seeing you both enjoying the lovely sunshine, it’s been awful here this week floods, freezing temperature this morning & posibility of snow tomorrow. From the latest news we got yesterday it was saying that summer holidays to Spain are looking unlikely as they want to vaccinate 70% of their people first, I really feel for the people over there losing their jobs & businesses. Stay safe x
Hi. If ok next time you're passing caleta garden can you see if there are doing some work on the hotel. Me and the wife was expecting to flight out on 15th may. For my 50th birthday on 18_th. But not coming now till 13th July. Covid. Hotel not open till 1st July. So was wondering if they are doing work on it. Thanks Darren
Surely the bookings will be the hotels moving 2020 holidays to 2021 ? How can anyone book a holiday under the current circumstances, every country are in the same situation aswell
I think the government should send us all to Fuerteventura for 3 months and return to the Uk in the Summer as long as we have a negative test of course ..Seriously such a shame to see the beach area like that . Especially the Perlita Bar we enjoyed being sat there a while back with a jug of Sangria . Take care both 😊
Sky News Reporting earlier that the Spanish Prime Minister has said that they wouldn't be welcoming International Tourists until the End of Summer which is when he expects that 70% of the Spanish population will have been vaccinated .. Not sure if Canary Islands will be Included in that though .
The tourism minister has since said late Spring/Early Summer but I think they're all guessing at this point. The islands will be desperate to get people back but the testing requirements and self isolation rules will need to be sorted out first 🤷♀️
Totally love watching your adventures,,, I live in Mallorca and I also film my adventures,, We’re both so lucky living in paradise , even if it doesn’t seem it sometimes..
The biggest problem in the UK is our goverment they have not got a clue what to do,we have England,Scotland,Wales and Northern Island all on a different page, lets hope we can get it sorted soon, want to get over asap.
Rumours say Spain have said tourists that they won’t be letting tourists in until everyone in Spain is vaccinated. At the end of the summer. Any idea on if this could be the same in Fuertaventura & do you have indications on how many have been vaccinated there already & any idea on when everyone there could be. I need my holiday this year 🤦🏻♀️
The tourism minister has since denied much of what was said last week. The Canary Islands relies so heavily on tourism that I suspect holidays will restart in the late Spring/early Summer but can see testing requirements staying in place. Will need to see what happens on the UK side too with self isolation on the way back, that would be a problem for most people 😕 Vaccinations started on 27th Dec and you can see the latest numbers on www.cvcanarias.com
@@AmeliaBolger yes I’ve also since read that wasn’t strictly true which is good news for us & fingers crossed we get there early September. I don’t mind paying for a test to come but like you say depending on what Boris says wouldn’t be able to afford another test plus 2 weeks locked up in a hotel or home really. Also fingers crossed Spain & England will mostly all of us vaccinated by then & things may be a little easier. Thank you for your reply.
It's very sad how the island looks like... but, by the other side, the planet is having a little rest of human contamination (even when people who arrive and live here don't respect the enviroment, but is less than before the little bug). Thanks for your videos!!
Unless the governments lift restrictions these beautiful winter paradises will end up just bloody dust bowls. So sad as I've been there with my family so many times even before the massive developments began. Always had lovely weather but some places have become a tad ' skanky'. Goes with the territory when an area becomes too popular. Good to see someone enjoying the sights and appreciative of what they have. Thanks
I’ve held off this year from booking a holiday which is unlike me. All speculation from our Government is doom and gloom. Son needs to get some competitions in if they go ahead. He’s wanting a good winter training holiday in 2022.....4 to 6 weeks maybe longer, I will have to accompany him of course. I bet it feels strange with so few tourists.
