No doubt inflation is highest in the country, no rental cap, he rent up so much and wages cannot catch up. Utilities are higher than other cities as well, no more affordable in Calgary now .
Lets not forget the reason for this inflation. AB in the last 2 years received a massive inflow of ppl from major Liberal places from BC and ON looking for AB as an affordable alternative.
Yes we voted for all the brown and poor people from all around the whole country and newcomers to move to Alberta because it was a cheaper place to live with higher salaries. Unfortunately that is not the case anymore.
No catch up time in Calgary. If I have to pay that much rent in Calgary with highest unemployment rate, hard to Find a job, I will not coming to Calgary, no interest
I feel for Canadian young people, they are having a hard time with this inflation....life has not been easy for them since before the pandemic....they need access to housing, well-paying jobs and a chance for a future.
AB is suffering from the population growth. People moving liberal places from ON and BC looking for AB for higher affordability, and now Albertans will pay for it
