On 11 September 2013, LCol Mike Owens handed over command of the Calgary Highlanders, an army reserve unit, to LCol Kyle Clapperton. The parade took place at the regiment's home, Calgary's historic Mewata Armoury. The reviewing officer was LCol Eppo van Weelderen, deputy commander of 41 Canadian Brigade Group. This event was recorded for the Calgary Highlanders History Project.

As a an ex Calgary Highlander from many years ago it brought back some memories for sure good to see the Regiment is doing well

I served with the Toronto Scottish Regiment ,1973 to 1974 . I learned a lot about our Forces . I have very high respect and admiration . For our military . We are the best .🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦 . Thank you

ever thou these highlanders and the ones in hamoltin are not same i still have big respecy for all highland regiments

there are no cadets, they are new recruits who have not gotten there uniforms yet

The tune is called Sloedam. It was composed by former Calgary Highlander Pipe Major Henderson and commemorates one of the regiments WW2 battles; Walcheren Causway which was part of the larger "Scheldt offensive" by the Allies.

I am not crazy about women being on the front lines . Just don't feel right . Rear area B. O. R. , Intelligence medical , communications ,but front line Soldiers . I now they are great . It bothers me a little . Thank you Canadian Forces personal . You are great . And love you 🇨🇦👍✌️🇨🇦🙏👍✌️
