I went there a year ago and had an amazing stay, but I could never shake off the feeling of being on edge, especially when visiting my girlfriend’s family who live on the east side.

Qué triteza siento, nací y crecí a 1/2 cuadra de la Galería Alameda, aún conservo mi casa(edificio), salí en el 80' y regrecé pocas veces, la primera vez me dejaron a la vuelta de mi casa, les juro que no reconocía el vecindario, donde en sus calles jugué partidos de futbol, parando el encuentro al cruce de carros, del bus Alameda y 'perderse' cuando nos perseguía los carros de los "chotos". me volví comensal de los comederos dentro de la Galería y volver a saborear la Morcilla, el bofe. el sancocho etc....Snif..😢..no puedo seguir.
que nostalgia hermano. No me imagino lo diferente que se ve Cali a comparación de como era en los 80, pero gracias a dios La Alameda sigue siendo un lugar iconico e imporantisimo en Cali!
Rey llegue a cali de miércoles a sábado y se va el domingo. Hay cositas por hacer pero cada cosa tiene su tiempo. Excelente que haya notado que muchas cosas de Cali suceden es en la noche y no todos los turistas entienden eso. (Ejemplo, muchos recomiendan el la loma De la Cruz, pero van en el día y no sucede nada ahí. Por ejemplo si vas los jueves después de las 6 hay bailes indigenas, los viernes es dedicado a la comunidad lgbti y así sucesivamente). Recomiendo el bulevard del rio también en la noche en estas mismas fechas que te dí. En el día es recomendable ir a río o ir a buga o santa elena, a dapa o kilometro 18 o incluso ir al km 30. otro parche de paseo, vi que estuvistes en buenaventura. ( puedes ir a sansipriano o a las cascadas del Danubio) ir al río pance y subir a pueblito pance. parcero que más, ahí en el video muestro el barrio San Antonio, y San Fernando que son buenas zonas para quedarse y disfrutar Cali. Tambien mas al norte esta el barrio La Flora que es tranquilo y bonito pero no tan centrico. Saludos

@@andresonearth I gotchu, my family is Colombian too, and i'd want to move back but I make good money in the US and my same job pays so little back in Colombia in comparison that I have a hard time justifying it.
@@aahsimovieprojects I definitely understand bro, most people leave Colombia for that reason. Unfortunately thats how it is in Latin America, its hard to make good money.
For people saying they want to move here please look into the way you’re affecting the natives because I know you want low cost living and the conversion seems great but you are Malian it harder for the day to day of the people and displacing them
