Man I remember when Me and my homie would listen to this song while playing handball at the courts in LA. Takes me way back to good times. I was only 16 back then now I’m 24. Hopefully he’s doing good.
I used to play this in my iPod at the courts too. I was up north but I would listen to it in highschool and see and wonder how my life might change when I am 21.
Please forgive me for not knowing this song back in the day. Love finding old classics that are new to me. Smooth, strong and chill all in the same song!
Grew up in SGV 818 moved to Santa Maria 805.seen one of these fools at the mall,he was a security guard. They click up with the Central Coast Clique with DJ Dominator, ended up going to school with him. They get down 👊🏽nice last name homeboy ✌️
@@Gerardo-zb8pt Yucatan is not Mexican..but if you're in LA from Yucatan(mayan descent) or Central America(Pipil,Nahautl,Mayan) you can still be Chicano(Chicanismo) or Raza (Meso Merican).
Shoutout Mr.Modesto my 10th grade English teacher for talking about this movie. If it wasn’t for him I would’ve never known about this movie. Definitely one of the chillest teachers I ever had. #classof2018 #Aztecs
@Oscar Flores yo chill, people like all types of music homie!, From Funkytown Texas, like me some Rap, 90s metal and country! Dont stay locked down to one style!
Richard Morales you forgot the main flag that makes us Chicano/ Tejano etc 👉🏽🇺🇸 Born in the USA with Hispanic roots is what makes us Chicano and the way we talk the way we carry ourselves Remember this little boy...the Mexicanos (I’m talking Mexico born mothafuckas) don’t like “US” chicanos they don’t even like us waving their flag, yeah are parents are from the motherland weather it’s Mexico Guatemala El Salvador etc but “WE” are not nor were we raised there, we were raised in the USA🇺🇸 and speak fluent English and most of us grew up speaking Spanish first A real Chicano is first generation of Hispanic immigrants(NOT SECOND GEN NOT THIRD AND DEFINITELY NOT 4th GEN meaning your great great grandparents came to the USA not your grandma nor your parents) meaning your parents came to the states with no lick of English We only understand one another, we are unique we didn’t forget about la Tierra that our parents came from most chicanos had the luxury of visiting the motherland Most of us got lucky that our parents became US citizens instead of getting deported We lay in between the shit, whites still see us as a minority and the real Mexicans see us as thugs, marijuanos, LAZY, they think we are all that because we have papeles but they don’t know the struggle that we went through or the shit that our parents went through when crossing the border (my jefa crossed in 1993 while in her stomach I was born in Tejas 1994) I don’t get why some chicanos dress up like Mexican cowboys when they probably never grew up in the rancho nor lived day by day as a Mexican, small example taking the animals to graze, chopping up wood for the month, killing pigs cattle chickens...I bet they don’t even know how the money down there works and they still want to act like they are SOOO Mexican and SOOO rancho with a USA birth certificate (fucking clowns if you ask me) Chicanos NEVER TAKE SHIT FROM NO ONE Chicano means being proud of your roots/heritage but in the end you are an American it’s a must you wave this 🇺🇸 proudly 💪🏽 Wait until we have our children they won’t know the struggle bruh they will never experience what we did growing up...I remember my parents killings pigs, goats, chickens in our back yard lol I remember my dad stopping by a corn field to pick elotes etc etc the list goes on man (remember I grew up in TX) I would never repeat what my parents did, now that I’m grown I saw that the shit that my parents were doing wasn’t normal, but they were like that because they were born and raised in the motherland 🇲🇽 Sorry for the paragraph but I felt like I had to school you bruh
Luis Garcia nah man Chicano is a person that was born in the USA with Mexican origin or descent, in my opinion your parents had to be the first ones in the United States then making a baby thus making the baby a Chicano once that baby his his children they would be considered 2nd generation making the just American nothing else, like I said you have people that are 2,3,4 and 5th generations of Latin immigrants who pledge allegiance to a Latin country that their great grandparents came from but to me that makes no sense because at this point your not even close to being Chicano anymore...Man I can keep going all day with this but I don’t want to bore you And idk if your being sarcastic about the whole giving me a 💯 if you were a teacher lol
______ ye a Hispanic American or Mexican even tho that’s the same thing I said Hispanic American which means you a baby with Hispanic or Mexican in you and was born in the USA but ye I was right

@@notsurenotsure5287 I appreciate that you recognize chicanos as americans, most people think we are just mexican and that's it but we are americans with a different culture just like Italian americans and Asian americans.

Mexican , Born and raised and lived in LA till I was 30 - graduated from UCLA At 30 and Moved to Seattle for a job at Amazon 15 years ago- 25k moving expenses (used that for a down payment on a 2500 square foot house. ) met a real essay the other day, he put this on my Spotify and I’ve been sad and lost ever since. I miss so cal, my homies (most of them dead cause it’s LA remember) I miss my little bmx bike and days on the beach with white peoples asking “you’re not from here” yeah, I live 30 miles east (East LA, might as well have been Mexico back then)

This is 805 style.. Listen to Central Coast Clique and it's the same style as CLS, Madog, Script Loc but 805 is different from LA and San Diego's. I'm not sure about Chicago & NY styles.

I found this song like 3 years ago from my Mexican Mate that I was playing rust with. I am from Australia and I am into classic American rap and he showed me classic Mexican rap and so showed me this. Song is really good.

U listen to good old rap music and then u realize that some sold their souls but some all they wanted to do was just to do music That’s what this song reminds me cuz of the beat
Now in Hollywood if u want to be successful in the rap industry u have to do things that later you’ll regret an example is DMX he’s changed and now follows the lord
