2:15 skill was like ‘hey challenger, can i shoot the revalorise?’ challenger was like ‘yes okay skill’ rev was like ‘yea skill shoot me’ skill shot and retreated and everyone was happy
I enjoy the Caliban, much prefer playing it with HE to gold, hunting out the pens gives you something to do in the stupid long reloads. It does take patience to play though and to resist going on deep reload all the time. Always get the 'instant regret' kind of feeling after going on deep reload
I really know what you mean about just how rare those types of games are with the Caliban. I never have got that sort higher score, but then again, I don't play 12 hours a day! Thank you for the video, I really enjoyed it! :)
Hiii Skiellll I have seen u play with KV 2 and Caliban on stream. Why are u not using sniper mode when pre aiming over longer distance? Does it make the gun more accurate or something? I was just curious cuz I dont know
WOT has an automatic ballistic calculator which adjusts your gun elevation so that your shell will hit the exact point of terrain that you're aiming at, shell dispersion notwithstanding. In sniper mode, the point your reticle is on might not be exactly at the same distance as the enemy tank and your tank is compensating for some 100-200m worth of extra flight distance. Let's say that there's a particular stone or house you expect the enemy to hide behind and you're aiming at it's corner. Behind that house is a long open stretch, so the point you're aiming at if your reticle is not actually on the house will be a long distance further than the house, leading to higher shooting angle. Aiming in 3rd person allows you to have better angle on what part of terrain you're actually aiming at. For fast shells, the ballistic trajectory is flat so the actual effect to shooting remains very small, but with very low shell velocities, such as with Caliban or KV-2, the ballistic arc is higher and you could very well shoot over your target if you don't take this into account.
@@Teknokraatti And this system also makes it impossible to hit an enemy moving on a ridgeline, if your shell velocity is slow. You literally cannot hit the required place
@@racernatorde5318 There's a manual ballistic calculation mod available that allows you to set the compensation distance by hand which I sometimes install but I find I often forget to reset or turn it off after taking a shot which leads to some frustration as the gun of course doesn't behave as I had expected to. Some acclimatization and training would remedy this, but to me it isn't such a problem that I would really bother. Your mileage could be better, so I suggest giving it a try.
@@Teknokraatti I was having this problem with certain vehicles, mostly those that use the British derp gun (AT2 and the Cromwell predecessor for example). I think they have to deal with a shell velocity of 300m/s
@@Crept9 GLD is a standard equipment btw, but this tank is better with IA because of the big bloom on aim circle - Cobra on the other hand is better with GLD IMO.
