A lot goes into calibrating and testing each ADG-1 before we ship.
We start with an electronic test and calibration before assembly and then later we do a audio test (as you can see happening in the background).
I often get a lot of requests to explain how we do the BBD calibration and what goes into testing. This is a quick single take unedited video to demonstrate the steps. It is not meant as an exhaustive video to explain the intricate details of BBD calibration but feel free to ask questions in the comments.

Fascinating to see what goes into setting each one up. I’m getting mine tomorrow courtesy of Andertons so I’m super excited! 🥳🥳🥳

so you're the person behind my favorite delay. good to put a face to the talent and skill.thank you for this pedal. I just got the SE and couldn't be happier. immediately all time top-5 delay pedals. I am wondering if there is a way to make a tap tempo through the expression out.

Glad to hear you are loving the ADG-1. I talk a bit about tap tempo in our FAQ located here www.ashevillemusictools.com/faqs The short answer is tap tempo is a digital function and the design intent of the Analoger series is to be 100% analog. There have been a couple of companies to produce tap tempo to CV converters including Disaster Area Designs, Electric Druid, Molten Voltage and others that you can use with the Expression input. While it's theoretically possible, the exact tempo relies on the time knob setting, the accuracy and drift of the CV converters and other factors so I would think it would be finicky and may not work well. Others have used an expression pedal to use their ear and foot to dial in the tempo they have wanted with good results.

Looking for a video on the ADG-1 SE model, but haven't found one. Hoping the insert is more useful than the CFlux insert.

There are no dedicated videos about the SE, however the Mike Hermans adg-1 video has some side by side comparisons. The insert on the SE is more like the insert on the 104m. There is also a lot of talk from users about the SE insert on the gear page if you check there.

which foot control expression pedal do you recommend? thanks

When checking "mid-range frequency", you said "most people set it to between 20 and 25 KHz, so you split the difference at 20 1/2 KHz".

Sigh. This is what I get for 2 takes and no editing. There are a few places I used the wrong word or left something out. I meant to say that to calibrate the BBDs I like to set the clock frequency to the middle of the clock range from an ear perspective. Clock is about 5.82KHz to 125KHz and the middle to the ear is 20-25KHz range since it's a log not linear scale. So I do 22.5KHz and find this the best place from which to bias the BBDs. I use a 400Hz triangle wave signal with the clock to 22.5KHz.
