Calibration of XCVario Magnetic Sensor 

Would it be better to do this in the place in the glider where the sensor will be mounted?

The hanbook of the xcvario is too complicated and sometimes incomprehensible ! If you install the magnetic sensor in your glider it is impossible to calibrate the compass !!! CAUTION : Don't install magnetic sensor in your glider before calibrating outside the glider !!!
