How great you got to see a CA Condor up close. This is "Solo" #208. She hatched at the LA Zoo on May 14, 1999 and has been spotted recently in Big Sur with her mate "Beak Boy" #168. Thank you for sharing.
@@1982MCI The exact lifespan of a CA Condor is unknown, but they are estimated to live over 60 years. To the best of my knowledge, Topatopa or Topa for short, is the oldest living Condor. Topatopa is part of the captive breeding program at the LA Zoo. He will be 56 years old in April of this year (2022).
Someone tagged that poor Mo-fo, with an ELEPHANT tag, (from hell too), that on one hand probably can be seen from the ground (easy for the bird-peep's), but on the other hand / downside, probably also produces the most annoying whisteling sound imaginable, during flight, that only the condor hears.. Great job, bird peeps! 🥳
...and there he goes, folks! What _should_ be the state bird, instead of the bird goes on a dinner plate in most states. And those ridiculous 80s bangs.. I mean _really_ quail?!? Really?
