Here's a summary of what I think the most prevalent mods in this video are. lStewieAl's Tweaks and Engine Fixes -> No zoom-in when aiming down sights + slowed down strafing/backpedaling Smooth True Iron Sights Camera -> Aim down sights without the weapon snapping in place Iron Sights Aligned -> Vanilla iron sights are aligned really badly JVS - Just Vanilla Sprint -> Sprinting by pressing Shift Dramatic Staggering -> Very expressive staggering animations EVE - Essential Visual Enhancements -> Lots of visual enhancements, i.e. better looking explosions & tracers as well as dismemberment blood spurts New Vegas - Enhanced Camera -> Adding head bobbing effect when walking I disabled the HUD for the recording of the scenes, and used a through console commands manipulated save file. (This is actually the independent Vegas Hoover Dam battle) Also obviously tons of added ambience & SFX in VEGAS Pro.
It's always worth helping the boomers, not only for their b-29. But the whole tribe is just unique to me, vault 34's vault dweller who literally just angry at the overseer because their guns got taken by the overseer. Then proceeded to just revolted and created their tribe and home at Nellis Air Base.
Notice how the Veteran Ranger comes from the backguard to the frontline, gets Knock out, loose his weapon, gets up, grab another gun, keep shooting and survive the assault. They are feared with reason.
Imagine ur the cream of the crop, Caesar’s left hand, a Praetorian. Years of training and doing the will of ur leader and it all ends when a b-29 comes in dropping a 500 lb bomb at ur feet 💀
I like to think the NCR Radio broadcasts this song while simultaneously issuing emergency commands. Feels like the perfect blend of silliness, seriousness, and theatrical flair that the Fallout vibe encapsulates.
@@Ferocious_Pizza Yes pimp boy? When you help mick and ralphs with the omertas (omertas stopped buying guns from them) you get a decked out pipboy called the Pimp-Boy 3 Billion.
Love how after the bombing run the heavy trooper goes down and then you see a ranger go down and the veteran ranger pushes forward without fear or hesitation
Honestly, this should be recreated in second season of Fallout. First episode, broadcaster on radio says something like "And now, as NCR goes to their most important battle of the Mojave Desert, we shall play the NCR anthem" and then we see massive battle between NCR and Legion as California dreaming plays through the static.
@@marklowrey7207 Shady Sands is an idea, NCR has many more cities, most of the troops are guarding the fronteers and the Rangers won't sit idly after what happened. They will hunt down the Brotherhood just like they did in Nevada.
Let's be real, this is EXACTLY how the 2nd battle would go in the lore. No chance any Legion soldier can charge across the Dam in football gear and a machete. Veteran rangers would pick them off. They'd then be met with heavy armor troops, then an endless supply of regular troopers. The Legion has NO alternative or counter to NCR snipers, none. This epic battle of hoover dam shouldn't even be a thing. The Legion would automatically lose due to inferior technology. Simple as.
Thank you. :) As good as the series was, they did the NCR dirty. This here is what would happen if the brotherhood fought the real ncr forces, especially with veteran rangers present.
Also, the Brotherhood was like, a single bunker. They were a tiny subsection left, at least on the East Coast. The West would have needed to fight their entire way through half a country of Legion territory to even make it to the NCR and at that point they would have been scrap metal to just pick off. It doesn't make any sense. The Brotherhood is overhyped af to begin with. And homophobic, never forgive for what they did to Veronica and Christine 😤
The gameplay is really well done as it really feels quite cinematic. The Rangers grabbing weapons, pushing, and one yelling that nobody fucks with the NCR was badass, the usually comedic gore feels different with this ambience & perspective especially when the Heavy Trooper's head & helmet fly off, and the way you duck for cover when hearing the bombing run starts all add to this. Was this all in one lucky recorded run or did you have to reload a couple times to get it looking just right?
Oh, it definitely took a few tries to get the gameplay recording just right. Had to get a feel for the timings of important occurrences, so that I could integrate them into my camera work, and also the general pacing was important, since the skirmish needed to be concluded when the song ended. In addition to that, I also kept tinkering with the save file after each few runs. This is actually the independent Hoover Dam battle, but with non-NCR combatants besides the Legion disabled, newly introduced NCR units as well as a few assigned 4083b script packages, so that NPCs would follow the player character around. All in all I'm pretty happy with how the gameplay turned out, and the rest of the desired atmosphere has been achieved with lots of added SFX & ambience. From little details, like having the alarm go off after the AA gun explodes, to more essential things like character dialogue or close-by gunfire & explosions.
“All units be aware, we are receiving help from a Non-NCR Military Asset.” [The Non-NCR Military Asset: A B-29 run by boomers, an entire fighting force worth of Paladins from the brotherhood of steel, a courier who cheated death, and a vertibird full of enclave remnants.]
I still cant believe they just retconned the NCR for some random ass plot twist that also somewhat breaks the entire story of 4 of the 5 main games in the series Season 2 of the show better clean up that plotline if they really want it to be canon
@@Amantducafe That and knowing fallout 2s car actually worked would have been nice to know when i played. Walked across California like a tribal peasant.
I think you probably mean the head bobbing effect when walking around? In that case it's "New Vegas - Enhanced Camera", and you need to enable the optional headbob feature in the mod's .ini file. I can't play the game without this effect anymore. I think that the character perfectly levitating over the ground when moving around looks pretty subpar in the vanilla game, haha.
