Gov. Gavin Newsom is seeking help from the White House after a series of earthquakes and aftershocks left Southern California residents on edge. READ MORE: abcn.ws/2FV0uTV #ABCNews #Earthquake #SouthernCalifornia #Ridgecrest
bro my friend moved to california so i text him, “did you feel the earthquake?” and he was like “yeah, everyone is fine but i’m just glad i got to cross that off my bucket list.” and i’m just like wtf😂
Omg thats what I wanted to cross on my bucket list too. I gone through bad storms and snowstorms. Next have to be earthquake and tornados. Anyway glad your friend is okay😂
Bro , i want to say bro before everything i say , even when i am typing it out on RU-vid. That is on my bucket list. So bro , i can now check it off my list Damn bro !
2:00 PAY Attention! The man just said, Be Prepared individually. This is straight out saying. If the Big One does hit, there won't be enough rescue personnel to go help everyone. Get water, food, batteries, blankets, flashlights, backup batteries. all of it now, before shit goes down.
Yeah I wouldn’t trust our shit Governor Newsom. He was the mayor of San Francisco and he made the city looked like the Big One already hit. I bet as soon as the Big One hits, he’ll probably leave the state with our tax dollars
Absolutely TikiShootah! This has always been the case. People should be prepared, even for earthquakes that aren't the Big One. And don't forget to stock supplies for your pets as well!
@Ldy Ydi Arnold was a really shitty Governor. As much as you may have liked his personality, he was a dumbass and lead many California government institutions into extreme debt. He signed off on some retarded ass shit. Hes better retired than in office.
@@jacksonheathen2092 I know. Hope they're all okay. That cat didn't waste any time getting out as quickly as it could, but the poor dog was just panicked and confused. They'll remember it and probably really freak out even worse if it happens again. Hopefully not anytime soon.
as someone who had lived and grew up in japan and now living in california, i feel this. weakass earthquakes. also all the infrastructure damage they were describing are US problems, houses built cheap rather than built to withstand natural disasters occurring in that area. houses and majority of buildings in japan were built to withstand the common typhoons and earthquakes.
@@XAwesomeBoomX thats true, but typhoons is something different, and so is how some area's build. states like florida can be more prepared, but places like new york, its so rare to happen they'll use their shitty materials, but god damn its new york who knows ! 😂
@@XAwesomeBoomX Well American don't get enough earthquakes to spend billions of dollars on housing in every state to withstand earthquakes we get every 20 years. 🤷
Which is due to population numbers. Not as many people live in Alaska as in Cali. Which means not as many people effected by the damage caused. ...no need to be jealous of news coverage.
Chris Hansen: what where your plans tonight? Earthquake: Honestly I just wanted to make her bed rock all night. Chris Hansen: Do you know she only 14? Earthquake: Shakes all of California
a stronger one is always expected. Why people continue to live there is beyond me... So much wasted money cleaning up and rebuilding in anticipation of the next one....insane.
@@salmonline person from cali here 🖐 I choose to love here because besides the earthquakes it's really nice and fun here. Theres so many places to go and things to do. I cant imagine living somewhere else
I was in Haiti when the earthquake 2010 ,i can tell you that is not a joke ,this is real,i thanks God every days for saving me and all my family ,now i'm 17years and i still remember everything.
@@_yesjas ☢️ ALERT ☢️ _July 7, 2019_ DIABLO NUCLEAR PLANT was damaged as it sits on FOUR earthquake fault lines, radiation leak detected, everybody stay alert. Thoughts and Prayers.
Me: And here I am living in boring ass idaho. No tornados, no tsunamis, no hurricanes, no earthquakes, nothin. Yellowstone super volcano: I'm about to ruin this man's life...literally.
I was playing fortnite with my bros and when the earthquake started i was a kinda scared and i look back and i just see my dog chillin on her mountain of blankets...
Luke Skywalker that’s the only tectonic plate near California and it’s been long over due so 2 earthquakes already and of this magnitude only mean the tectonic played have just started moving and grinding It may take a day, a week, months or years but California is gonna get hit with a strong magnitude that’s gonna leave it in ruins
While I understand your intent was humor, earthquakes are no laughing matter. Really. The Northridge earthquake in 1994 was 'only' a 6.7; but given that it was in a high population area, 57 people died and over 8500 were injured. It was a blessing that no one was killed in these latest quakes. We should indeed pray for California. I don't think anyone in SoCal would wish for a 10.0. It would be devastating.
@@andrea-ns6vqyea it doesn’t but there’s a fault line called “San Andreas” and can cause a 8.0 earthquake and that fault line can cause a bigger earthquake if it breaks, they’re saying that it could break before 2030
Ronnie Baker are you serious? Listen to the point he puts on “individually” and even gestures to make it more significant meaning it’s every man for themself when it comes to preparing and possibly dealing with the aftermath of these and other disasters that will happen.
@@nokiot9 I understand what he said. An earthquake is over before help can arrive and there may be more and aftershocks. You are letting your trumpism control your thoughts
I'm going to say something crazy but here it goes: IF (and only if) you feel safe at your location when a larger earthquake strikes, instead of panicking and running, try to stay at that place and actually ... enjoy the moment. Enjoy how the powerful nature is releasing such energy, try to feel what it happens. It's really an impressive - and quite rare experience.
Woah that is legit scary. I've been afraid of earthquakes my whole life. I am always afraid at night before i go to bed that an earthquake will hit. And then THIS. I hope that "big one" won't come Please keep.us safe Lord!
The fault zone is mostly in California or generally wholly in California due to the Pacific plate coliding with the American Plate there. So unless you live in the Californian zone you are about as safe as every one else from those earth quakes. You can use the internet to see where seizmologists see the areas at risk.

@@saharvarona No - I am thousands of miles away. Well out of the 'Ring of Fire' (Ring of Fire = Pacific Rim which is well known for seismic activity, subduction zones, tectonic shifts and volcanoes). I have look at other world areas studying plate tectonics and so have looked at the Great Rift Valley, Africa, the Afa Triangle, Turkey, The Anatolian Plateau. Our own Atlantic Ridge to the Icelandic Volcanoes and rift where lava erupts out of the rift. Japan is directly opposite California between the same lines of Latitude and have about as much or more seismic activity. Both are by sub ducting land and both have experienced Tsunamis but the big one in Japan was more recent so has had much more media coverage. It was a size 9.0 which is larger than the larges known Californian. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oWzdgBNfhQU.html Where I live is not in any recent earthquake zone and hasn't been for thousands of years. We (our area) had a tsunami in the year 1610 about. But since then there has been no major Tsunami or quakes. My location is about two thousand miles from the mid Atlantic ridge where the sea floor is spreading and so well below the sea surface there is likely tectonic seismic activity. But that is some six thousand miles east of California. LOL. So not anything Californians need fear at present. The Atlantic has no Ring of Fire where as the Pacific does. No idea why but that's how it seems to be. Yet there seems no Pacific ridge where the sea floor is spreading so maybe the American Continent and Asian continent are slowly (10 cms a year) getting closer and so America is moving west over the Pacific sea floor and the Pacific land upon which California is built upon is being sub-ducted down very slowly.

This is the earthquake that gave my older brother a phobia of earthquakes. I know its not worse Than others but it was the biggest we experienced and it really Impacted us
I felt the aftershocks at home since I live in Fresno and it’s nearby-ish by Ridgecrest where the earthquakes are happening, literally and figuratively, I got so shook 😱
Mateo San I understand quakes can be destructive but being powerless? The human race? Last time I checked we’ve created devices that put earthquakes to shame. Not to mention we’ve conquered all of earth.
biscuit it’s bad, hes not being dramatic. I was part of the japanese earthquake in 2011. I survived of course, but because of that i got ptsd. Sometimes i feel an earthquake that never actually happened. So, no he’s not being overdramatic
What i find os that the EXACT day the first little earthquake occured on July 4th, I *_JAMP_* in the pool, and told my sister to imagine that caused an earthquake. Not even joking :"""")
