it nice to see these tour i mean i have recognised many of the places in all the oakland tours. I mostly lived in the north but i was not that street but i ran around in the streets as a kid growing up in the in the 70s and 80s i lived a few blocks away from Bushrod I went to pre school in that gym at Bushrod park it was runned by merritt college when it was still down on MLK but this was when it was still called Grove street. I would always go with my friends to the baseball field we fly kites and launch rockets out there. I have alway been proud of living in oakland. When you travel out of Oakland everybody got an opinion on you because where you are from they always make it even worst than it is. I still love the town

I have watched the East and now North and this is sad. The biggest problem through the whole Town is ppl don't want to grow up, always want to be seen, too many followers, grimy ppl, clout chasing and liars. Dangerous city lists are misleading. Oakland has some upscale neighborhoods in the hills, so maybe that brings down the crime rate. However, the Oakland hoods are more dangerous than Stockton hoods -- more crime and more violence than Stockton. Not putting down Stockton at all. Oakland is just it's own animal, and people can't understand until they've been there. Same for SF. Some politicians will claim the city overall doesn't have high crime, but that's nonsense. Not only do they have dangerous hoods, but so much crime goes unreported.
