The full extent of Yosemite is larger than the state of Rhode Island. There are some wonderful places to hike/back pack to. e.g., Iceberg Lake and Thousand Island Lake. Hopefully you'll return and further explore and photograph.

I’m definitely going to be picking me up that LW crème color way. Your scans from it surprised me with how great they were considering it’s basically a disposable. It says it’s optimized for 200-400 speed film but I’m assuming it can read 800 codex?

I love to shoot on film, to be honest, especially Kodak Gold 200! I recently took a photo of the Popocatepetl in Mexico on Kodak Gold 200 with my Nikon F50 and let it print on a 40 by 60 cm format! Picture was sharp and great, because of the SLR made '95! Here' s my question: why isn't anyone interested to bring back a budget SLR, instead people making those crappy, cheap, easy to produce point and shoot ceameras with the fixed focus plastic lens... I don't get it! Please bring back an affordable 35 mm SLR with interchagegeable lenses! That's a market niche and that's what the 35 mm shooters really want! Kind regards Patrik Krispler

little known fact about single use cameras, the only part which doesn't get recycled in the film negative. Pretty much everything else is sent back to the manufacturer to be reused or recycled

I laughed when you said "not expecting to find the fog this morning". The fog almost always covers the west side of the city and stops right about at Twin Peaks during fog season. Anything on that east side (presuming where you stayed) is generally pretty clear most of the time. Super cool to see you shoot around my city

i love that you created this not single use camera and it kinda helps with the problem of disposable cameras I agree but why use abs material? pet/petg would be much better environmentally i think as abs is not recyclable.

Awesome video as always! I just got a Leica Cl after my 2nd Minolta cle stopped working. I took it on a road trip around Georgia and I love it! Such a simple beautiful little Leica. The shutter is beautiful, the only thing that gets to me is loading the camera specially when standing. Other than that it’s a great fully mechanical camera!

fog is a great way to find that liminal space vibe Mt Davidson can give great views of the city, but prefer it in the fog. (you passed near my house in that fog)

Love the photos and LW Camera BUT… are you driving a GX470? Have you compared one to a FJ80 or something? I’ve been really curious about the 460/470 lol.

At the time (1973) the Leica CL was designed/produced, tripod plates were not really a thing. There may have been one or two, however more popular was the 1/4-20 screw with retaining ring on fixed plate/platforms. So more of a “modern design conflict”. That being said…… great images out of your camera….. keep up the great work!

Nice, nice job- so glad you finally got to experience Yosemite...it is truly amazing......two shooting buddies and I did a winter shoot this past January (2023) at Yosemite..... we were lucky- our schedule date- just happened to be in between all the storms- so we had a clear weekend - it was awesome- I highly recommend you plan to go back with snow as your background......- chasing the light is much shorter..... and colder!..On morning it was 17 degrees - as we set up our tripods on the Merced River.... and laid in the snow..... but the shots were amazing with the mist rising from the water. Next time your in the City at the GGB- drop down just below on the west side of the cliffs- the closest beach to the bridge- is Marshall's Beach- that is tucked in between the Bridge and Baker's Beach- you'll definitely want to hike down there and take some photos- easy access from Lincoln Blvd- it is awesome- and if it is low tide- you can get real close to the bridge.... and congrats on your new gear- very happy for you. Cheers

I am very inspired by your videos. I love photography, I have a fujifilm xs10 and a minolta dynax 40 and they are great. I live in Ukraine and I am very depressed by the local scenery, it seems that you can't take good shots in the city because there is too much visual noise and everything looks quite depressing. I dream of having friends with whom I will drive around in a car looking for beautiful locations and take many, many great photos. Because now any inspiration is crushed by realities, and I have no strength to fight them( Thank you for inspiring me not to give up.

FINALLY the Leica CL getting some love. Super underrated - although it doesn't calculate flash automatically from what I gather.
