during lift hill, someone yells, "POTENTIAL ENERGY" at 1:05 . Then during the drop at 1:09 , someone else yells, KINECTIC ENERGY". Did anyone else catch that?
+spaceye There used to be (and maybe still are) "physics days" at Six Flags. Students were encouraged to carry accelerometers on the roller coasters, but none of the ones I knew bothered.
***** Potential energy is basically the energy of position, and kinetic energy is the energy of motion. At the top of a hill, the cart has a higher (gravitational) potential energy than it does at the bottom of the hill, and when the cart is going faster, it has more kinetic energy than when it is going slower. What happens with a roller coaster is that potential energy at the top of a hill is converted into kinetic energy at the bottom, then back into potential energy when the cart climbs again. Friction and wind resistance "steal" some of the energy, allowing the coaster to slow to a stop at the end of the ride and explaining why the first hill is the tallest (if there is only one lift hill).
+iBeMagikal It's just physics. Energy can't be created or destroyed, but it can change types, and the "potential energy!" part is because the roller coaster has tons of potential energy that then can turn into kinetic, which is the energy of motion. A nerf dart moving at running speed has less kinetic energy than a nerf dart moving at the speed of sound (for example).
this was the first Theme Park Review video I watched so I didn't really know that his videos really included his voice, but I thought it was really funny
I went on this ride for the first time 3 days ago and it's my favorite ride ever!!!! At first I was really scared while waiting in line but after the ride was over, I wanted to go on again and again. I went on it like 3 more times after that and I still want to go on more. (Keep in mind that I usually hate big roller coasters)!
I love how one guy at one point was like potential energy and the. Kinetic energy and when you said loop de loop that was funny as well love your videos
***** Haha, im going to six flags soon! :P the loops you cant get stuck on, they dont have any cables to get stuck onto, you'd just get stuck on the next lift rap, but thats all. Just my opinion, i like six flags more than disney (i still love disney) just for the thrill rides. :D
This ride looks and is much more fun in real life. Rode it a few days ago whilst on our vacation. I made a face as if I was deep in thought at the on ride photo section.
My family and I were there last week! It was my first time my dad and I rode this rollercoaster! We've been to Disneyland so many times, but it was our first time going around the holidays! We LOVED and ENJOYED it! I would never even get tired of the experience at all! It's pretty addictive!
I’m not a fan of roller coasters in real life but obsessed with watching these videos!! 🤣🤣 I cannot get enough of the pure JOY in your weeeeeeeeeee and loop di loooooooo one of the few things to bring a genuine smile to me during all this madness going on in the world genuine thanks xxxx
Still haven't been on this. The line is the longest one in that whole side of the park. Even in off-season, it's hella long. I do wanna go back to Disneyland soon, though. I'm already missing it.
December 7th, 2020. By Far the worst year of my entire existence. Let alone, probably everyone’s. I’m over here watching POV rides from 8-9 years ago missing my youth, let alone missing Disneyland. I hope and pray everyone who reads this stays safe, stays strong and keeps faith that one day life will be back to normal. Also, i think i prefer this version rather than the incredicoster, anyone? just me? alright. Wear your mask y’all.
The company that records this stuff got permission from the park. They mount usually go pros and stuff..since there is no lagging or crazzy movement other than the one coming from the ride itself.
(Old comment) Someone help me. I went on this ride before, I liked it but I never got a chance to sit on the number 1 car front seat. I wanted to go on the front seats until the staff member told me to go to seat number 5 back seat. When I went on the number 5 back seat, I could not see everything except for my left and right, I wanted to see everything on the number 1 car front seat. Even if the front seat line is long, still looking forward to it. I'd rather pick my own seats than just letting those staff members telling you which seats to go to. (Old comment now. I finally got the front seat. Thanks for those who gave me advice)
+Kkkbusuego kbus It would be insanity if everyone picked their own seats. When you have groups of more than two who want to sit near each other it would cause so much havoc, loading would become a mess that takes way longer and the wait time would skyrocket. If you want to sit in the front ask the cast member who is assigning rows. They will let you wait for the front seat, it just might mean waiting a little longer. I do this all the time.
Disney ALWAYS tries to honor requests for specific seats. I go to Disneyland frequently and frequently request the front for Screamin' and Space and the back car for Big Thunder. They have never refused. Sometimes they have us wait to the side until they fill up the current train.
