As a LEGAL immigrant, living in NYC for about 8 years, it did not take much time to realize how ungrateful people can be to this country. This country has given me everything I always wished in my birthplace; from healthcare, education, to sense of freedom and security. I started as a fast-food worker, then drove rideshare with uber/Lyft, now making $200k plus as a data engineer at a major bank. This country is still the land of opportunity. But it really bothers me when I see how the mega city like NYC getting destroyed by corruption, carelessness, misjudge. I see how the nation is systematically broken by lawlessness. Yet I cannot fathom how can someone who born and raise in the US can NOT love this country, or even hates so much. I live in San Diego. I was at Home Depot last night and an illegal migrant was in the parking lot wanting to help me load my truck. I did not need help and told him so. He asked for free money and continued to try to help load 3 sheets of plywood. I can bench 300 plus and don't need help. As I loaded the plywood he stole $40 in plumbing parts. After I noticed the missing parts I looked for him, really wanted him to return my property. I am happy I didn't find him because I would have taken my property back and most likely gone to jail for it. If this illegal immigrant would do this to me a large man elderly and woman are really not safe in San Diego. The immigrants will become a big problem.
