Literally came to post essentially the same comment, except to call out Newsom by name. Whatever the government messes up, he still manages to make worse.
@@BeastMacin11you shouldn’t have to liquidate an asset because criminal overreach perpetrated by the Newsom administration drove all the options for insurance out of the state due to their woke-policy agenda. What you said is the opposite of a solution.
Don't listen to that globalist trainee who wants you not to own anything so some giant, disgusting corporation can snatch up your property as part of its world economic dictatorship.
How the hell does Lara still have a job?! Mind boggling. I've lived in this state for all of my 42 years. The problem is NOT climate change, the problem is ridiculous environmental rules that prevents people from preventing these wildfires. Everything you see today is a result of poor leadership, nothing more, nothing less.
I Mexico most people will be like... Home owners insurance??? 😅 mmm that's something that only happens in the USA to keep people paying and squishing money out of people's pockets 😅
Literally the worst advice I've ever heard. Those 'loser' insurance companies WANT to drop all their CA customers as soon as possible, but are forced by law to continue policies until their renewal date before cancelling, so a customer-end acceleration of the process only benefits the company. Customers who cancel their policy early, as you suggested, would not only incur early cancellation fees, but would also find it nearly impossible to obtain new coverage with a different company because most companies refuse to write new policies in the middle of wildfire season, and the few who will, nearly always include a clause that requires the property to be covered under an active policy at the time the new contract is executed. Plus, the new policy will be way more expensive and offer less coverage than the 'loser' company's policy did.
Take a moment and think about your comment. Wouldn't it be better for everybody who hasn't used their car insurance or health insurance before to cancel those policies, too? Would you cancel your child's health insurance because he or she hasn't ever needed to use it?
Have you ever had anything bad happen to you that you can't control? Exactly. Now imagine it happens to your house. It only takes one time for a tragedy to decimate everything you've worked for....One time.
