YEEEOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
Today, I am going to be covering some different approaches when it comes to manipulating training volume with calisthenics skill training. Training volume refers to the total weight lifted and is calculated by multiplying sets x reps x weight. This is a really interesting concept when it comes to skills because of course your bodyweight is constant regardless of what you're doing, but the position that you are in is what makes some skills "heavier" than others. Feel free to leave your thoughts on this down below as well as leave suggestions for future discussions that you would like to see. Also, don't forget to hit me with a subscribe no jutsu of course!!! Let's get to 500 subs fam!!!!!!!

Awesome breakdown brotha! Didn't realize how complex calculating volume could be with calisthenics, one inch could change everything! I think what you said about high risk elements would be better placed in lower intensity high volume areas. Main reason I got hurt with OAP work was pushing too much intensity and not enough lighter work with regression movements. Also, 500 bro, almost there! Can see this channel doing big things :)

Thanks bro! I hope so! That OAP should be feeling pretty light for you now with you getting all shredded 💪💪

Sk8 the Infinity: Finger Board edition 😁 They’re already making spinoffs and they’ve only had like six episodes. And this anime is so life like 😜 That aside i liked the discussion. Keeping the people informed, keep on keepin’ on Mr. Barkage.

I think the physics concept of torque would be useful here

Doing everything I can to become better in the skills, mostly planche . Volume, intensity, frequency and recovery all need to be in balance to progress as fast as possible. I’m sometimes doubting my approach due to little injury’s. But I also want to train as hard as possible. Videos like this are definitely helping!

Yep, I agree! Planche especially just takes a long time. You will get it though!

Did you ever use the greasing the grove method for planche? I’m thinking of using this method for 15-30 days to make a lot of progress and fully recover. I would do planche leans, and short advanced tuck hold, followed by one leg front lever hold for like 5 sec. Really low intensity stuff. Do you think it is worth training or should I just stick to my normal trainings. Full body every other day, with high intensity.

I’ve never tried that personally, but I could see that being helpful

Barkage heeeelp! I'm stucked on straddle planche (max hold 15s). And still can't full planche.

What?! I would just keep trying to do fulls at that point or try to start in a straddle and then close to full. Full planche negatives are good too.

PS: I See something like that of an SW athlete on Instagram: What do you think about 2-3 months of 5 day split: Day 1: Upper basics gym + accessory work Day 2: Statics Skills. Day 3: Upper basics + gym acessory work Day 4: statics Skills Day 5: Upper Basics + gym Day 6: Rest Day 7: Rest He use dream machine for some statics worked in TABATA. There is so much volume in your opinion? Can we adapt that routine?

good video bro, 100% agree about everything. i have also found very helpful high intensity low volume dynamics, for example Adv tuck planche pushups have helped a lot my straddle haha a question for you, do you vary your volume/intensity in the week? i have noticed a lot of advanced athletes like you seem to just be able to listen to their body and know what to do, wondering if you do the same

Thanks! Yeah, I pretty much just play it by ear. If I feel like I can do a lot, then I try to push myself. But if not, then I just take it easy
