The gun that you incorrectly called M1A1 carbine is actually an M1 carbine. It's not the M1A1 beacuse it doesn't have a collapsing stock (Im not a gun expert I just know it)
Preety good sounds, but some reloads and reloads sounds are copied from cod 1,and i dont blame them, that game had good sounds and animations for that time.
I wish modern COD games took a normal and basic route, like playing Cold War feels very wobbly and just uncomfortable. That’s why I like Modern Warfare Remastered.
Campaign was really hard that it took me a month to complete (started 3/30/21). I'm not used to the first three CODs not having sprinting since I keep holding down the left stick, but they were good. This was the best out of the first three in my opinion
my Favorite Weapons in Call of Duty 2 is the Webley Revolver Handgun German Kar98K Sniper Rifle Mosin-Nagant Sniper Rifle Lee-Enfield Sniper Rifle M190A4 Springfield Sniper Rifle Gewehr 43 with Sniper Scope M1897 Trench Gun the Shotgun and the German Panzerschreck
Blind review here, since i never played COD:WWII, although i do watch some review of this game, but... Not like the COD:WWII, this game is in line with COD:WAW and some console release only of the WW2 COD games, that is, the campaign is just straight up documentary, the cutscene (obviously) is also from a documentary. Back then, they know that what's important in a WW2 game is not the character and the story, but what's really happening in history. This game, offers three different campaign, and each campaign gives you certain vibes. In Soviets campaign, you can feel a vibe of holding up to survive, and taking a revenge to the invader (one of the mission really make this kinda obvious when one of your comrade start shouting while firing an MG), and don't forget, it's all for The Motherland. The British campaign gives you a sense of that these soldiers is already battle weary, and exhausted, and a bit frustrated, but also need there's a need to keep fighting (or it just me, but McGregor complaints in their whole campaign kinda give me this conclusion. There's also one moment in Tobruk (or El Alamein?) where the NPC start talking about one of their comrade who just lost one of his leg and he must be sent home, and another NPC comments that he is a "lucky bastard"). While the American campaign gives you a sense of heroism and standing up to your duty, the last mission really kinda makes this obvious. Some mission plays in non-linear way where you given a set of objective and it's up to you which one you want to complete first. One of the mission give you objective to clean up a village, with several building is occupied by the enemy. You have to be careful here when entering the door because it's easy to get killed here. Combine this game with Sound Mods that give a more louder and meaty sound to the gunshot (or the better use *Merciless Mod* that basically turn this game to COD: WAW but without the dismemberment because this is engine limitations), a bit of visual a tweaks (either using mods, or just manual Reshade, or even better a GPU-based effect if you can afford that), play it in Hardened or Veteran difficulty (or just the easiest difficulty if using Merciless Mod), and you will get a visceral WW2 game. That's it, my entire review. Bruh... I just write a short game review in a RU-vid comment section, what the hell i'm doing with my life... Sorry for my 'engrish'.
I remember playing through this for the first time, damn it was hard, lol. I wasnt the best at shooters at the time. But for me its one of the best games.
Its weird how i played Big Red One a lot and never got the chance to play the 'original' CoD 2 Edit: i even completed it on Gamecube! And the only difference is that they made the stars on the shermans a mario super star LOL
@@jasonlou2013S i dont mean it by that, but i was talking about waw as an experience those little detail imperfections still doesn't hamper how good waw is though
At this point, I wouldn't mind a remake/remastered old CoD games, like CoD 1 and 2. With current gen graphics and some rework on the animation and audio, those game would definitely become an instant hit again. To be completely honest, CoD didn't need to have an overly cinematic moment or unnecessarily complicated campaign stories. All it needs is the inspiration from real WWII operations or missions and (most of the time) brothers in arms to fight alongside with. CoD 1 up to WaW are the best WWII CoD I've ever played. I wish the devs would care enough to pay more attention to detail on the weapons and vehicle like DICE does for Battlefield.
This game has better reload animations than Halo 3 and it came out 2 years before Halo 3. It has empty reload animations. Halo 3 has the same animation whether the weapon is empty or not.
I remember this game came out right when the XBox 360 did.....and all my local EB/Gamestops had that station in the store where you could actually stand there and play the game, with the console in the clear plastic case. This game was on ALL of the 360 stations in every store I went to. I remember being utterly blown away by the graphical leap from the previous gen.
@@gusbus1040 i guess the trench gun is MP only, but you can find the Webley Revolver in the first mission of Battle of Caen, British campaign. It's in the table near you in the beginning of the mission. Edit: fix Cain > Caen
It's strange that they gave the Colt M1911 the sound of a pop-gun, given how famous the gun and its powerful cartridge are for being of a larger caliber (larger caliber guns naturally produce a lower-pitch sound).
The only thing that’s really bugging me about the animations is that 1. The mosin apparently has no clip and 2. They depict the MP44 as an open bolt weapon
