You can just tel how much love was put into this game and how much the developers cared about the era of world war 2 and wanted to capture it as much as possible. Love this game
Some bloke in your back garden I know man. He jinxed himself when he said, "I might just make it through this lousy war after all!" And then he gets shelled, but it he looked like he could still make it, until the last bomb fell which sealed his fate. So heartbreaking. Dragons Teeth. I'll never forget that mission.
WayBachWin not actually a general,he is a german panzer crew, which usually has higher rank than the wehrmacht,we can assume he is in charge but he is not a general
I remember when i was just a hatchling i would watch this animation reel and fall down like they did. Like when they got shot i would fall the exact same way. Ahh, Good times. Gooood Tiiimes...
2:11 Call of Duty Finest Hour (2004): •A game with Rats •A game composed by Michael Giacchino Ratatouille (2007): •A movie with Rats •A movie composed by Michael Giacchino Coincidence? I think NOT!!!! 👀
This game was like a more refined version of Medal of Honor: Frontline than an actual Call of Duty game. Although it did share similar elements to the PC game, it ultimately plays very differently due to the muddy nature of console games of the time. Graphically the game didn't compare to its PC brother either, back then the graphical gap between PC and console was pretty harsh, and Finest Hours graphics and animations look like, well, a decedent of MOH: Frontline more so than the original COD. I would not be shocked if a lot of folks who worked on Frontline worked on Finest Hour. Great console games though, it was good time, before all the bogus preorder AAA culture nonsense, before micro-transactions, back when single-player was still the staple of the series rather than mindless repetitive online matches.
Well without medal of honour you wouldn’t have call of duty fact medal of honour was great but call of duty refined it till it ended up like boost fucking all over the moon 🌓
@@jonathanoxlade4252 And to think that Medal of Honor was started by Dreamworks Interactive, when Steven Spielberg himself wanted a video game to provide an immersive and educational experience after his film _Saving Private Ryan._ We not only have him to thank for creating a masterpiece of a war movie, but also shows like _Band of Brothers_ and _The Pacific,_ and finally starting the WW2 FPS series that we all grew up with; which in turn lead to many other game franchises like Call of Duty.
Graphics vs details new games are more realistic in Graphics but the lack of darker details like animations and such I just wish a mordern game had more hearing someone choke on there bile death animation old games were disturbing that way soldier of fortune gore over Graphics yet it was brutal
There was a really impressive door breaching mechanic in this game. In one of the Russian missions you and red army soldiers sweep houses with a ppsh’s.
They really need to remaster this one. This CoD is probably one of the underrated games of the wholle franchise. Plus, it's more intense than any other game I played.
@@mohammadnooriman4185 Order 227 is pretty much a myth made by right ring book writers post-war/cold war in the west to demonize the Soviet Union. FFS Canada and the Soviet Union had the same policy on deserters, it is the same in any Army.
@@falloutreaper5764 not in the way you think tho....they never shot men in open combat for retreating against bad odds....they did however shoot defectors officers who retreated with no fight ect but this was mainly at the start of stalingrad
The animations and A.I. were top notch for their time. I really liked how realistic it was when a person would get shot in the throat and grab it or get shot in the face than suddenly fall to the ground like a ton of bricks.
The company that developed the game planned to do another WW2 game as part of the cod franchise but were denied by Activision for going over budget with this one. What a shame.
After this medal of honour rising sun did it with the animation reels those were the good old days wish games had more alternative options like that 😂 just pure ww2 comedy
1:38 German officer- "Dammit my ballz itch* Scratch, scratch, scratch*. Hmmmmm I wonder what they smell like.*Sniff* okay. Holy Shit that guy got shot, ok everyboby back to work."
I was 8 years old…sitting on my older brothers Xbox while he was at school or football practice. This is what started my love for the history of firearms and WW2.
This was call of duty original as far as I am concerned the 360 version of this looked good but the original by spark was the best version anyway wish a remake of original call of duty was a thing
@JesusJewEgg to be exact those are germans :) remember? The level where you have to blow up the theater with the tank and krauts with bazookas come outta the sewer and you kill them to protect the tank and then go in? :P
