@mihajlocolic5714 yeah I heard that. I tried IW4x and had trouble so I gave up on it. I've put in many hours so far and haven't gotten hacked myself. Guess I'm lucky.
Brand new. I’m looking to buy a hp victus laptop. Is that suffiecnt enough to run this well? 8gb of ram, 1650 gtx. My MacBook Air running crosswave crashes on mw2
I have no experience on gaming laptops but I reckon any gaming laptop made in the last 5 years or so will run this game well. This is an over 10 year old game after all. I can run this very comfortably using 1080p max settings, fps capped to 125 on my old desktop PC. It has a gtx 680 as a gpu, 8GB of ram, and a 1st generation i7 860 processor all the way from 2009. That laptop most likely will have better performance since it's using a modern processor and a much newer and more powerful GPU, albeit an entry level one.
Yeah, Activision deleted it, what a bullshit bro, the IW4X does not make damage to activision, it only provided the users to play MW 2 an other cod's being secured. I've never played the original MW 2, but i played MW 3 on Plutonium and it's a great experience
No hackers but it's quite dead nowadays. The IW4x got taken down by Activision and the developer XLabs had to remove everything related to the mod. You can still find the mod files online uploaded by other users and still play the game but not many seem to know where to look or care enough to start searching for the files manually.
@@TT-zl1beNow coming back to this especially since Warzone finally got shut down, they want all Current CoD players to go to their client and their clients only. Especially since all the MP maps are going to be “remastered” in MW3
IW4x is generally relatively safe to use because of the dedicated servers. To my knowledge, only the server host can infect or get infected by the RCE vulnerability.
They should start showing up after waiting for a while. For me it may take up to 20 seconds after pressing refresh list. Make sure your OS is not blocking it from accessing the internet.
What version of iw4x.dll you have? It's shown in the main menu on the bottom right corner or in the in-game command console. I tried two versions, 0.7.7 and r4399 dev version. They both show the server list just fine. I would check from windows firewall rules. You can also try to connect to a server manually with the command console. This connects to an EU terminal 24/7 server: /connect 145.239.205.45:28222 If it fails you either have a version mismatch or something else is blocking connections.
