Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - Motion Capture Behind the Scenes (Unseen Footage) 

I think movies and games walk side by side when it comes to motion capture and acting. Or maybe one is just a little bit ahead of the other, who knows.

@@SR-71BlackbirdA2 I know, but I'm comparing this to the older CoD games. I started playing after MW3 came out, and I mostly played with some friends who had XBox and the whole MW trilogy. But whenever they didn't want to play anymore, I decided to play the campaigns and got hooked really quick. It was the first time I started to get interested in characters in general, particularly Cpt. Price and Soap. But the only thing I didn't like about the games was the character design and graphics (the originals, not the remastered. The remastered graphics are much better). Now I know that they weren't supposed to be good back then, but they still seemed to me on par with trashy Unity gaming engine quality. But when motion capture started to become utilized (I presume it was first implemented with CoD Advanced Warfare) I started to go, "Wow, the games graphics can be just as good as the story too? I can't wait for what's in store for CoD". I don't play as much anymore since I'm focusing on my formative life, but I still hang around to watch the campaigns of the newer games. And with campaigns like WWII, Modern Warfare and Modern Warfare II, I felt confident that at least the newer games graphics and campaigns would keep the franchise afloat, even if the PvP is apparently getting worse (I sucked at PvP anyway though, so all's well that ends well I guess).

this game has 55% positive in steam, which is low. So should I buy this game??

@@Hether6971 Depends if you're a PvP player or a campaign player. I suck at PvP, but I love the campaign. If you're talking about the PvP, I'm not sure what to tell you. But if you want to play the campaign, then by all means get the game.

To be honest it makes sense. As the actors are already locked in. So when the player pauses, they just recorded when they locked in. Actually helps with momentum

Yeah the betrayal scene has some of the best facial acting in a video game I’ve ever seen from graves. Especially the line where he says to Alejandro ‘I’m afraid not. You’re men have been… Detained.’

Yeah even one b-roll shot in movies can take like 6-8 different takes if the director thinks there should be sever angles for a scene that lasts less than a minute.

Just Look How silly Octane Movement Mocap in Apex. Looks Too fun

As someone who’s done motion capture, it’s super fun as long as you can not take yourself too seriously. You look pretty silly, after all It’s also incredibly physically taxing, but very rewarding

it's to account for gamers being gamers and trying to break the game, so the campaign seems to has more depth instead of just being Co-Op with characters.

A lot of games have this. Game studios know for a fact some players are gonna pull their gamer instincts and try to break the game, or see what happens when they refuse to do the objective, that's where these lines come in.

@@gibleyman ohhh makes sense and I seen some scenes like Soap not jumping and ghost being on him about it. I didnt even notice Price was there until after Gaz grabs the phone

@@gibleyman yeah there's a lot in the mission where you interrupt the missile going to new Orleans the dialogue if you go afk is hilarious

Lol yeah, but in the gameplay you can see they fix the screen while Gaz is looking at the watch, pretty funny

The campaigns are great!

I buy cod for the campaigns, they’re the highlight for me. Especially recently with the amount of effort put into them
