Graves was an awesome character. Only thing is that for me, idk why but ironically he seemed less threatening after the betrayal.

Here’s my opinion of the characters in the game… Alejandro was by far my favorite character in this game so far, just an extremely likable and relatable good guy and he’s funny too. Glad they didn’t kill him… he better be in the third one. I like all the new name characters they been adding in this “reboot series” just like Alex and Farah in the last makes this new reboot more interesting. Price and Gaz were kinda boring in this game ngl… well at least to me. Soap was likable but kinda felt like a plot armor rookie Ghost fanboy. There’s so many times he should’ve died out of most of the characters and somehow at the end of the game he survives like 4 rocket shots and get shot up in the back like ten and somehow just brush it off. Ghost was trying too hard in this game. I started liking him more towards the end when he started having an personality but felt a little late for me. I also hate out they’re sucking off Ghost in this reboot, don’t get me wrong I love Ghost in the original too but let’s be honest did he needed all this special treatment in game with his face being the cover for the game and him getting his own “ghost mask” task force at the end that leads to nothing? Idk milking a character off so much like this kinda ruins the character for me a bit. I did however loved the little mentor role going on with him and Soap. Seems like Soap has a stronger connection with Ghost in this “reboot series” and Price with Gaz. Grave was fun, just a little all over the place psychopath though towards the end. But still highly entertaining. Shepard was also kinda boring in this game like Price and Gaz. Not much to say about him, even Diego‘s and that drug chick were more interesting. Laswell? I think? I forgot her name, she was ok just ok. Better than her MW19 self I guess. Farah and Nikolai were great cameos, kinda wished to see more of them. But understand why they were just cameos. And for Alex I’m sad we don’t see him. He’s the only one in the last game that doesn’t make an appearance and he was my favorite in the last one.

I actually made a search about PMCs after the game. I came across with “Academi Blackwater” Your comment made a good point about it.

And when Shadow Company is engaged in the flashback, the mercenaries who attack them have a resemblance to the Russian Wagner Group, which has committed war crimes across Africa, as well as in Syria and Ukraine.

I think in MW3 they're definitely going to raise the stakes quite a bit. Either that or split the Makarov + Shepherd storyline into two more titles. There are still a few names that I feel they should bring back like Yuri, Sandman, and Roach. Also there was no confirmation of a body for Graves (if I remember correctly from playing the campaign last night), so it's possible he wasn't quite in the tank but wanted us to believe like he was. That way there'd be a 3-way kill order on Makarov, Shepherd & Graves in MW3/MW4.

@@hxpers That is a valid point. Feel like this timeline is taking its time to build up the team and their characters. Hoping for 2 more titles in this universe at the least in order to have a higher stakes story. Maybe even killing off some key characters. Making Makarov an even deadlier opponent.

I think it's setting up a more dramatic storyline for 3 tbh I mean it actually is giving characters a personality and time to evolve unlike ghost and roach in 2 who were just kinda there and died

2 main members? You lose like 6 guys in MW1 lmao, then another 4 in 2, then another 5-6 in 3. Having all of the playable Americans get killed off one by one then finished by a nuke really made OG Shephard an understandable villain. New Shephard is just a slightly exagerated realistic douche.

Not really, it’s advertised that he’s a mercenary who is happy to not be constrained to the same rules of engagement and it’s shown on a couple of occasions what he’s willing to do like when Valeria isn’t playing ball so he says he’ll show her the difference between him and a soldier. He was mostly operating along Task 141’s standard but once he was given essentially free reign? You see why he’s Shepherd’s go to merc

Graves literally the minute he’s let off the leash slaughters an entire town. He doesn’t kill kids but everyone else is fair game. 141 can do a lot of illegal shit that blurs the lines of morality every which way but that isn’t something they’d do.

I think his betrayal in this one makes more sense, he’s covering his ass after an illegal operation took place and TF-141 was getting too close to the truth. It’s a lot better than “oh I lost 30,000 men and lost face, so I’m gonna create a task force to eliminate the man responsible but then kill the task force members for reasons”. I’m serious, I still don’t get why murdering the members of TF-141 was a thing to do unless the DSM contained something that would incriminate him

@@outdoorscholar6016 It actually did. If i'm not mistaken, the DSM had info that Shepherd leaked the intel to Makarov that Pvt. Allen, or "Alexei Borodin", was an undercover CIA agent. Shepherd wanted war to break out.

@@outdoorscholar6016 On that, I agree. This newest one is more believable. My issue is that the betrayal felt unneeded when there was plenty going on. But I still think some of his reasons in the old MW2 game made a little sense as well (just not well flushed out). Because he lost 30,000 men and knew that the Russians were secretly behind the plot, I can see why he would want a war with Russia. As for the DSM, I've always believed that Makorv had evidence that it was Sheperd who exposed Allen's identity. Plus (and correct me if I am wrong), only 141 knew that Sheperd had sent in Allen as an undercover agent. So, it would make sense for Sheperd to want to remove them once the DSM had been acquired.

I don't even think he died. He probably wasn't even in tank, and instead remote controlled it or so.
