Thank you very much for sharing this. I will try it and let you know if it works for me. Much appreciated. Well, unfortunately, this workaround didn't work for me, but your time and efforts are much appreciated
Hello guys I would like to give an advice which works for me and is: First I deleted all files after I uninstall the game from Steam then you must deactivate everything which is possible from firewall after that can download the game again and can start the game after downloading without to put on firewall just to see if everything is ok and the game to create everything which is needed like files and if it is saved after you log in game you can log out and then you can put firewall on and to restart the computer. There you go now you can play without any interruptions. I hope my comment will be helpful for someone!
I tried literally everything to fix this, and nothing worked. So, I went for hardcore solution reinstalled windows 11 completely. Should've done it immediately, instead of wasting time for searching unexisten fix.
It didnt help for me, but i did find an older fix on google that worked for the graphics reset + the keybind reset (i could not even change my keybinds at all) “Turn off windows protected folder” and follow the steps. Basically togglles off control folder access option under Ransomware Protection settings. Restart game from steam or blizzard and make a few changes. Close it out like normal and restart and hopefully it will hold the settings for you. The phenomenon of settings not being saved or reverting to defaults is a Windows permission issue, not the game. These settings are stored locally, so in Windows Security, check whether the ransomware countermeasure is ON, and if it is ON, whether the COD-related EXE has been added to the safe list Open Windows security>virus and threat protection. Scroll all the way down to the “manage ransomware perfection settings”, click on “allow an app through controlled folder access”. Click through the prompt and then click “add an allowed app”. You can choose to go through recently blocked apps or manually find the .exe for the game. This solved my issue. I tested it and can confirm it worked for me perfectly. No more graphic reset, keybinds work perfectly.
This didn't work, changing my "Documents" file name (it was a Turkish name with no special characters) to original English "Documents" didn't work, the method in the video didn't work, verfying files didn't work. Any ideas?
@@Gattsu96 MW3, i've tried doing a read-only option on the Call of Duty folder in documents and it did nothing. Don't know if I can even try your method without owning WZ or MW2.
