Almost every single mission in this game feels like a multiplayer session. What happens to fighting as a team? You go in solo, runnning around with drone, jumping with parachute, driving around in vehicles, no squadmates whatsoever. Suddenly you're Nomad from Crysis (with no nano suit but you still act like you have one), Scorpio from Just Cause, the protagonists from Far Cry series. And these are not even stealth missions. One man army bs.
Ikr, glad I'm not the only one to feel that way. First two original modern warfares were great, 3rd was eh bt serviceable. The new ones have just been marvel tier movie bad. Everything gots to be a comedy and no one ever feels like they are in danger
Omg, you mean to tell me a VIDEO GAME isn't realistic? Are you kidding me? A fake story with fake characters in a GAME? They must be stopped! Why is your generation so stupid? Will we ever get an answer to this question?
For the second time we witnessed the death of the best fighter out of 141. it hurts like the first time. Rest in peace, John "Soap" MacTavish. The best of the best
@Acejak1234 the disjointed mess of price barely shedding a tear and Soap managing to stand up in front of an army of men and stab Makarov is so comical it hurts. His death is rushed and anticlimactic. It's a disgrace to how excellently his character was portrayed in the original games and actual relationship building was crafted rather than spearheaded on nostalgia alone. If you can't tell the difference between this and the raw emotion from Blood Brothers where the tragedy gets a whole mission to develop, you're horribly ignorant to how special this franchise can be
@@xuticx so what? He's not comparing how it happened, he's not saying it was done the most tragic way, the point is we lost soap again and next time we're gonna kill that bastard Makarov

@@cainescouten-chappell362Dude, it was a remote controlled tank. How is that bullshit? It's not like he was in there and actually survived a tank explosion.
@@BlueSkullX did you miss the entire part where it was deeply implied in the game that Graves hopped a fence and jumped in the tank, Soap was on his ass. I don’t see how he would’ve found somewhere to hide and activate a remote controlled tank and have it roll up in the seconds it took for Soap to clear the fence after him. Than he managed to sneak off of a base on high alert, in active combat where most of his men were dead and he was surrounded by hostiles. Soap even said Bro was dead. It’s lazy writing, and I’m beginning to think it wasn’t even sledgehammer’s fault. Infinity Ward runs Warzone and has been making CoD games longer than any other studio so their decisions take precedence.
Okay. Alex *could have* survived. But why is there no mention of it in the second game? How is Graves alive? Didn't they blow up a tank with him inside? Also, why is he working with Farah and the gang? Why does the gamplay look and feel like a Warzone multiplayer match? I am only fifteen minutes into the video. Damn. They really dropped the ball with this one. A real nose dive in quality.
I feel like this campaign had a cool thing going on where you felt like you were constantly losing and Makarov actually felt like he was better than 141. I think the story was clearly rushed and IW didn't get to realize the game's full potential though. I hope MW4 reaches the heights that the original MW2/MW3 hit and we get to see the same epic set pieces like Washington DC under siege and the battle in New York City and they get a lot of time to work on it.
@imstunned so... treyarch infinity ward isnt heading any part of this game? I know treyarch is leading zombies, sledgehammer is doing multiplayer, but sledgehammer did campaign as well?
I love to see missions played from different perspectives "What did this team encounter while getting to the first team that we played as" And "we caputed this target off-screen, now it's on-screen"

Maybe it's my grief but something about Soap's death rubs me the wrong way. They killed him off like he was a side character. His death did not progress the story whatsoever. They wrapped it all up in the last 5 minutes. The wrung Neil Ellice out like a wet sponge for content and promotion, (he did BY FAR more promotion and community connection than any other actor/actress) only to kill him off. Killing off the character that was his actor. He played that role with his entire mind, body and soul. I was expecting a poetic death of Price dying since he was the sole survivor of the original games, and then we got to ten minutes 'till the end of the game and I was like, "Oh my god, they get a happy ending this time!" Then they kill him like a side character. His death is meaningless, he went down protecting Price, but Makarov didn't even die, according to Laswell's report. (Which is ridiculous, I know video game characters survive impossible situations all the time but there is no fucking way that train did not BODY him into oblivion.) I loved every other part of the game, I loved that we got to play as every character at least once, but fuck that ending just sours it all. The send-off scene is nice and perfectly heartbreaking. Then there's the fact that Ghost literally stays by Soap's side despite the bomb about to go off 5 feet to his left. Nothing else matters, Gaz and Price are saving the world, but his just ended. If Ghost's comics are considered canon, and we take one cod dev's words that "Ghost has not been happy for more than a week at a time in twenty years," seriously, then one of the few things that mattered to him was just ripped to shreds in front of him in the blink of an eye. The anguish in his voice is beautifully portrayed. Serious props to Samuel Roukin for that. They were all set up to have happy endings, but killing SOAP off specifically, things will never be quite the same again. Price said it, not me. "He was the best of us." Price's line, "Well neither do we _sunshine,_ alright?" within 10-20 or so minutes before his death is very compelling for a few reasons. The Sunshine Character is a trope. They are usually the brightest, most jovial, friendly, warm, and overall good characters. This doesn't mean they can't have a dark side, no no, the sunshine character going feral is a _whole other trope..._ Typically they are found in tandem with a _stone-cold_ character, such as Simon "Ghost" Riley. This will no doubt provide motivation for the remaining members, but I am not thrilled to see MW4 if it's _just_ bloodlust and revenge. I was laughing my ass off at every bout of banter, and there was something so signature about his. Roach is a great character, but if he takes Soap's place in this timeline, as if he's _replaceable?_ I think my blood will boil out of my skin. This comment is much longer than I intended, and I am definitely more passionate about this than I thought.
“Gaz and Price are saving the world, but his just ended.” SHITS GOT ME IN TEARS BRO I JUST ALMOST STOPPED CRYING. Like the fear and anguish in Ghosts voice when he yelled “Johnny” and his desperate attempt to find Soaps pulse despite the clear bullet wound in his head and him just sitting there with soap not giving a single damn he about to be blown to bits. All got me sobbing violently for the next three months
I just feel that Soap didn't deserve what it happened and that it feels like a rushed last minute decision from the developers. Like: "how about we kill Soap again in the most cheap way possible?" It's dissapointing in some way cause Soap was actually my sunshine and getting him rip off like that was too sudden and I'm not sure if my heart will take it. To be more precise, I never liked this series and when curiosity killed the cat, I came back just because of Soap and I decided to give it a chance but since Soap is dead I don't see myself in here in the next five years or so. Is just feels so sudden and artificial. I mean he is a damn fictional character after all but bloody hell what they were thinking? This is dissapoiting that's all I'm gonna say. I'm sorry for saying this is such a long matter. I just need to make my pain everybody's problem.
hope nobody buys it even if its 90% off thinking its a complete waste of money playing a worst version of a good game this will make them think remastering and ruining old games for constantly 3 times wont do any good to franchise
The ending was unexpected, i'm literally crying rn... rest in peace, Soap. Either way, a good campaign, but a little bit too rushed. And now we wait for Modern Warfare 4... They've dropped the Soap, they'll pay the Price.
@@Acejak1234 i think it refers to how in most of the missions we dont co operate with other teams but instead run around pulling parachutes and soloing a whole area
@@Acejak1234 we mean that the character of the player is always now a spec ops guy not like classic mw2/3 where u play as army rangers or basic ground units in squads. yeah 75% of the older games are in spec ops but there's literally no basic ground units in the new ones.
I really liked this overall playthrough, but it feels different from the other MW installments. Again, i know that each MW has a different story/timeline, but it would have fitted to not include the dead people from previous MW's. Seeing Graves, Ghost, Makarov, and Soap, all people who have died throughout the MW franchise, is just a new and different feeling. One thing i do wish is if it were longer like the other installments, but otherwise, good watch!
Not only was this the shortest COD campaign in the history of the franchise, this was the saddest excuse for a campaign. No replay value, just a one man army power trip, to top it all off a staple piece of the franchise dies quicker than you can react with a quick farewell scene. If there’s an MW4 the devs need to do the campaign that they typically succeed with.
Idk if you are reading this because of the amazing 1,1k comments, but you really are helping a lot of us out here that have a pc that sucks, so yeah I wish you good luck 🎉
I'm so disappointed in this campaign. I was so worried when they announced it would be released only a year after the second, and my worries were founded. The gameplay was lazy and annoying, feeling more like a desperate ad/tutorial for warzone, their REAL cash cow. I HATED the ending, for so many reasons, most of all being that it was so unceremonious, unemotional, and unnecessary. A massive slap to the face, really. I knew I would be disappointed in the game, but I didn't expect to be genuinely infuriated at Activision's choices.
3:33:24 to 3:34:30 , i don’t know why , but i literally fall in love with this scene. It would’ve been the perfect ending if the campaign was better and longer.
@@BlueSkullX There's no fun in realistic, plus nothing else about this game was realistic in the slightest. The overly dramatic crawling-for-the-gun moments in the old games were better
For those single-playerbase people, the game is warzone/DMZ focused. If you never follow up any information or detail in those modes. You would be wondering why Alex and Graves are alive. They never care to explain that to the single-playerbase. The campaign is a DLC for those who play warzone and DMZ in majority. The storytelling style of COD is long dead. The campaign teaser before launch was to buy people into believing this game has a plotful single-player experience.
Thanks for the walkthrough. Seem like multiplayer mode. Walking alone with radio voice-over. :video Thanks to Activision for giving him an early copy, so I know how bad the game is. No need to waste money on it😅
I was shocked at the 2nd and 3rd levels essentially being demos for the multiplayer. What were they thinking? It doesn't look fun at all CoD Campaign isn't a bloody battle royale
@@peterthosegriffins666 it can be a great idea if they put 1 or 2 key NPC like the previous version. And if the player wants to play with their friend. It will be an additional member in a campaign. The alone campaign is like a battle royale showing how lazy they are in game design. The story is fine, just a bit difficult to keep track of other character like how Alex survive, Graves is still alive, etc. It would be a disappointment on MW3 for me.
Finally COD game that looks like its PS5 generation game. I will not play it but will watch the whole video, must add sound quality is outstanding, pure, clear no noise, excellent work !
After finishing it, I feel the same slap in the face that MW2 left me with. Why would they turn these iconic moments into cutscenes and be like “fuck you!” What the fuck??
I hate the way Price is being portrayed in this game, he looks like a green recruit in front of Farrah and she looks like a super soldier now, capable of superhuman feats. At least Makarov is still the same old cartoonish villain we all love.

I think this is about some equality bullshit. They wanna show that women soldiers also can what men soldiers do. We all know it doesnt work like that in real life
@@BlueSkullX I agree, but that's just it. It's a game. If the objective was to create a war simulator, I would play SQUAD. The main objective of the older CODs were to deliver a compelling story and deep character development, which they most certainly did. It's a shame MW3 2023 didn't hold to the same standard. It felt more like a DLC for MW2 and a preview for multiplayer. If they intend to make a MW4, I hope they learn from their mistakes and make a better story. Graphics and features were great, but the story, especially soap's death, had no real emotion to it. Remember, it's supposed to be a "cinematic experience"
@@thatsmolbirb2519 A game that tries to be as realistic as possible when it comes to war. While the OG trilogy was good y'all definitely over hype it to the extreme out of nostalgia and think nothing can surpass it. That's some pure fanboy shit. Talking about cinematic experience when this reboot feels like playing a movie or TV show. 🤷 If you think they lacked something because you didn't get a dramatic and drawn out death scenario like you wanted then maybe you should play SQUAD then.
Why do people who post these gameplays never pick up interesting weapons off the ground? An AR and a pistol, and you don’t pick up an incendiary LMG? Picking up the interesting weapons is the one of the fun parts of these games, at least it was for me
So Gaz who died in OG MW1 and Ghost who died in OG MW2 make it to the end of MW3 but no matter what timeline Soap dies during MW3 like bro what the fuck
It's practically a DLC with some truly insulting levels like that Farah one but I gotta say Vanguard's worse for its complete attack on history. "Do you speak Japanese" the Imperial Army soldier said in perfect English, wielding an STG-44 in 1942 😂
The campaign is a snooze fest. Not gripping at all. Not exciting. No iconic moments or scenes. Never a feeling of urgency. No feeling of a real threat. The reboot Makarov is a weak enemy, not a threat at all. Never felt as though he had the upper hand. The original MW campaigns are leagues ahead of this bland template FPS.
I really feel the Open combat missions really limited their ability to deliver gripping moments during the story. I hope they get rid of them in the future. Clear house in 2019 was incredible, fun, and surprisingly replay-able. Very gripping but still almost on rails. It allowed for interesting situations to play out for the character to experience and react to. Now it’s just wasting NPC’s
Hated this game. It was rushed, had no thrill, and the death of Soap was pretty much traumatizing. Brought me back to the original mwiii in a BAD WAY. Their reason for killing him off was speculated but pretty much confirmed by Neil ( his VA) unfollowing everyone aside from Elliot (Gaz's Va) that it was to prevent shipping and not have to introduce any new characters.
Do you remember when devs weren’t lazy, in the old MW 2/3 from 2009 / 2011, and they were giving to russian soldiers real russian vehicles, instead of generic vehicles that seem to be used by every faction in this universe ?
I’m not gonna lie Shepard is so more bad ass when he sounds like he’s a good guy 💯 “All police men are considered hostile” just the way he’s says that gives me chills 😮💨
I knew it was going to be bad and I felt it coming when the MW2 campaign felt a little too open, they’ve officially ruined the only reason I was buying call of duty anymore, they should’ve kept the linear missions.
Didn’t even finish it, just returned the pre-order the campaign was so bad. No one wants to play those stupid open world missions that are all literally the same exact mission in different maps
