Call Of Duty Phantom (Early Advanced Warfare Prototype) 

I just love how the 360 was the lead platform for these builds.

If MW3 (2011) had the graphical style of the alpha AW instead of re-using MW2’09 assets most of the time. People would’ve liked that game way more. The game would’ve not suffered an identity crisis between being called a DLC or a MW2 Expansion pack

I heard somewhere that Phantom was actually a working title for Ghosts, and Sledgehammer reused it. The real working title is Blacksmith. (idk if this is all true tho)

Cod advanced warfare still has one of the best trailers I’ve seen

Ngl I'm liking a lot these prototypes for CoD games. It gives you a really good idea on how these projects start and develop in their short development time, giving insight to how devs use assets or ideas from previous games and flip them creatively into something fun for their game. Something about what creative ideas devs can come up with in such a short time period is really cool to watch.

Crazy how Tranzit couldn't run on the 360 yet Ghosts and Advanced Warfare were still released on the 360. (Yeah BO3 was technically there but not the whole game + it sucked)

From what I understand actually, phantom is actually the ghosts prototype name, but it was so early in its development during that time and advanced warfare started development during ‘phantom’ and forked from phantom, aw was actually blacksmith. They just didn’t change the title yet. I didn’t look much into it but I did see it in on RU-vid description plus something somewhere else that said phantom ghosts prototype card or something like that This is so early of ghosts and aw that it still says mw3 lol. I’d say aw is based on mw3 more than ghosts because of how early it is. But yeah, this isn’t phantom itself, that’s just the title. We don’t know what the real phantom looks like if this is really the case

Interesting.. Advanced Warfare is a fun game imo and deserved better.

Smh my head. Such lazy devs. They couldn't be bothered to change the MW3 logo to the Cod Phantoms logo on the main menu. Modern gaming is cooked.
