WONDERFULLY delightful and invaluable contribution to the growing RU-vid treasury of great recordings of the 20th century. Thank you for this beautiful and sparkling posting. FIVE STARS!
Being Greek I must say her diction is extraordinary! Being Spanish, of course, she had an advantage, given the two accents share many similarities. This might explain why Callas was also extremely particular about proper diction and took all her interpretations into an entirely different league. Amazing!
Attila plucked strings orchestra - singing Barba Gianni - my Greek isn't good but I worked out a connection to Elvira Hidalgo - who, I discovered 30 seconds ago, tutored Maria Callas - regardless, and the English lyrics in the notes (thanks) another rather sweet piece of Greek music (possibly with some borrowing)
Excellent! exquisite voice !! and that the recording is not entirely good. Could someone explain to me how is it and where can I study their vocal technique? or if there are books or videos? Thank you
Hello, it's the old Italian technique of Bel Canto. Where are you located? I know a couple of excellent voice teachers who train the voice with that technique
