Still have this driver in my bag. Have demo'd the latest releases every year and have yet to find a club that moves the needle beyond this driver. Beautiful shots with a low spin rate. What more can you ask for?

Interesting that you say the Razrfit Xtreme's shaft feels long. Its 45.5in, compared to Ping G25 which is 45.75, which you really liked. Strange that! Maybe has something to do with the smaller head of the Cally making it feel like the shaft is longer when its not in reality,

Still watching in 2020,about to buy this driver off ebay because i prefer the smaller headed driver.was going get the xhot pro but this looks better.thanks for your review mark.

I have been using this driver for about 6 weeks - tried 3 shafts in it and have finally settled on a UST V2, its a beauty low spinning beast. Love the look at adress. So compact is the head I can hit this thing off the deck - great on our links course The stock Trinity shaft by Aldila was too stiff for me in stiff so switched to the V2 which is softer in the tip section to get some height out of it. I swing at 97 Mph and getting 2800 RPM spin rate form this driver with a V2 with a mid flight!

Mark, I watched only two of videos and I'm hooked. I like your personality and the how much fun your having with your mates playing this game we love. Mark, with this video I was hoping to find out or see you actually use the tool and move the weight and change the club from neutral to give me/us all the sets so we could apply what's best for us knowing our miss hits. I'll take Ping or Titleist over any of the other brands out there. In my opinion they are two of the last honest club makers left. They don't have the ridiculous marketing hypes or jacking lofts and shaft lengths to promote distance. Again this is my opinion, so different strokes for different folks. Great video though Mark. Keep them coming!

I had three wants: Low launch, don't care about distance (drive about 285) and I wanted to leave the store with one. Hit all the name brands but left with the Razr Xtreme. Smaller head was nice, no off puting. I did not like the green shaft, but they have a sweet looking Matrix Black Tie shaft that I did get. Definately keeps the ball low, pouts it way out there and is workable. I am thinking about going back to get fit for a Razr Xtreme 3 wood. #recommended #keepthevidscoming #greatvideos

Ive hit this driver yesterday at a Demo day out here. Solid feel off the face! Also had a good distance with it (268m carry avg. 117mph swing speed avg) Thinking about switching my VR Pro Limited out of the bag for this one. Really nice driver! Also good for low hcp players (i play 1.8)

I swing my club in the mid-90s and I was recommended to have a Stiff Flex Shaft for my XTreme RAZR. So an X-Stiff for you makes a lot of sense. Since you were fitted into it, you have the option of changing your shaft that will fit flight characteristics. Also, swinging a club indoor versus outdoor is totally different...Much less breaking in a new club completely...

Literally bought one of these today, £45, great condition, stiff trinity shaft.... have to say, i'm stunned, out performs anything iv'e used recently, ping 410, being one. I'm not the most consistent driver of the ball, but this thing is a monster, surprised at how forgiving it is, up there with the best..... play off 15, swing speed about 95-100.... and there still very reasonable on ebay compared to other drivers currentrly

I buyed a ping 425 sft and I outdrive my fitextreme by 40 yard ... Same day same swing and I don't slice with the 425

Nice comments. I just got an email from Callaway, they just shipped my udesign Xtreme. Can't wait to start hitting. When I got semi-fitted with the Callaway rep, they suggested me to use the x-stiff, but now I am little scared. Cause my swing speed is 111mph, but my spin rate is 2200rpm meaning, I might have trouble launching the ball, plus it's 8.5degrees. I guess I need to try some shafts as well. lol

@thegolfdaily forged composite not brittle like glass , its actually stronger than titanium which is stronger than steel.

Size isn't everything, this 440 cc is a beast. With the ahina x shaft, I can get it 330 yds while my ave is about 290 yds. Paired with X2 hot 3W ave 260 yds, sometimes 300 yds. Smaller head gives me more control. I'm old school in that I like more compact, smaller heads. I seem to be more aware of the sweet spot than just swinging a huge face and hoping for good contact.

Mark i thought the exact same thing...the sweet spot more looks like its more towards the heel...maybe it is if the weight is in the draw setting. I can't hit it that way had to move the 15 gram out to the toe. Feels very unstable at impact in the draw setting to me....

Mark, What length was the Nike VR Pro Ltd Edition you gamed? I'm sure the stock length of is 45.5" just like this one? For me this is the best driver on market... Great stock shaft options (not sure if you mentioned them)? Aldila Trinity and Matrix Black Tie. Great compact head, great simple adjustability that works! I ditched my 913D3 as this beat it hands down and the Titty was fitted by Titleist Tour van.

Mark it seems the club has a lot of buldge out on the toe. Maybe this adds to the affect of the sweet spot mark. Another theory is that they know a large portion people tend to have a toe miss. By aligning them more toward the heel maybe it increased actual central contact on the face. Just a thought

what's 268m in yards? like 295yards right? that's pretty good carrying, but i think you might be losing it somewhere. I don't know your altitude, launch angle and spin rate, but with 111mph swing speed, I'm carrying 298yards. Maybe fine tune it little bit when you purchase it for more distance.

Hi Mark, Am lovin' your swing and driver on test vids. I'm sure you hit it very long with that penetrating ball flight. Is there a chance you could give ball carry/total distance when evaluating different clubs-especially the driver! If there is a regulatory reason you can't- no worries. Best wishes Tim

That is not the stock shaft pairing. That looks like the shaft out of the x-hot. That would be why its a half an inch over standard. My RFX came in at 1/2" under standard.

The reason the shaft is longer is because you have the x hot shaft in it not the stock aldila trinity

forged composite head is a newer thing whereas the fusion body/face is older

Best driver I have ever hit. The weighting system is incredible! Get the Matrix shaft... The low torque-low spin shaft really does work as it pertains to reducing spin.

i have a faster head speed and most pro shops think a regular shaft would work great but i swng a stiff shaft...i can swing the reg. shaft just fine..i think u would lose launch with a xtsiff...

Unless your'e a beast the X flex might be too much shaft, but hey the 65S trinity is availbale on ebay pretty cheap along with a kazillion other shafts (kazillion = lots!!) I tried 3 or 4 shafts and finally settled on the UST V2 66 gram stiff - cut to stock 45.5 inches to retain swing weight. I think Marks comments that Callaway are playing catch up isn't fair. Taylormade or as I joke "Massmade" drivers that are release every 4 months! This driver craps all over R1 and RBZ stage 2!

Ok so I know that Nike is innovating with the cavity in the driver and talormade has all the adjustability and what not but how is titleist innovating? It seems to me that titleist just makes very classic clubs and they don't seem to change a lot

I think callaway is definitely declining from what they one were. However they are still a big golf company and have many more years to come. I notice most of the players they sponsor that have been successful recently are older (ex. Phil and Ernie). Not that really matters, just an observation. I really think there golden years were the late 90's and early and mid 2000's. I haven't been impressed by them recently but they still make great clubs, just not the kind that fit my game.

Personally, I stay away from anything non metallic on the club heads. I don't like plastic bits and pieces stuck on irons nor composite heads. I like my clubs simple, tough and solid and not brittle like glass.

Ping maybe, Titleist do not over market their clubs because they put so much into over marketing their balls & putting them in the bags of as many tour players as they can = much more chance being on the winners list. At the end of the day it should be about personal performance anyway, but most are too lazy to get fitted properly & would rather delude themselves getting confidence from gimmicks, hype & branding.

Just to prove how strong the razr fit is google Jamie sadlowski can hit 300+ balls with one the same club where he used to cave in a regular driver after 20 balls.

I went to Galaxy the other day. Got a rbz stage 2. I didn't really like it that much. I went back and returned it and hit the r1 and the Razr. I loved the Razr fit and I had troubles at first but I changed the weights around.
